Natural gas futures moved above $3 this week due to hot weather forecasts and news of the Wheatstone LNG facility in Australia going down for unplanned maintenance. Ted Gardner, SVP and Senior Portfolio Manager, shares that these are both supportive of prices in the very near-term, but it is the decline in production year-over-year that should provide longer term support. CCS is a critical technology in mitigating climate change. It involves capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) from industrial sources, which is then processed and transported via pipeline to secure storage locations underground.
