It was great to see the moving performance by Butterflies in Spirit of British Columbia 🇨🇦 at the 3rd Annual and Powwow hosted by Inter-Tribal Council of AT&T Employees- and other local partners at the AT&T Discovery District!

Butterflies in Spirit is a multi-disciplinary dance group that is made up of survivors and family members of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls . The group uses community advocacy, dance, music, and art to highlight the injustices Indigenous communities face daily.

Canada is working with its provinces, territories, Indigenous organizations and communities at home and abroad to end racism, discrimination and violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people.

In partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, we are excited to announce a special performance at our 3rd Annual ICAE Native American Heritage 11/11/23 at 5:30 pm CST, by Butterflies in Spirit!

Butterflies in Spirit is a dance group from Canada that was formed by Lorelei Williams to honor missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.

This Saturday, November 11, 2023 we are pleased to welcome Butterflies in Spirit to Dallas, Texas for the 3rd Annual Native American Heritage Month Contest Pow-Wow organized by the Inter-Tribal Council of AT&T Employees- at the AT&T Discovery District!

Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Butterflies in Spirit is dance group that raises awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & girls.

is committed to making the transformative change necessary to end the MMIW & Girls tragedy and is working closely with Indigenous Peoples, families, Survivors, communities, and provinces and territories in this process. We are pleased that this conversation can continue with our partners in Dallas, Texas, including MMIW TX Rematriate!

Saturday's Pow-Wow is free to the public and runs from 10am-6pm! Butterflies in Spirit will perform at 5:30 pm!

CG Harper joined human rights leaders from the Canadian host cities of City Of Vancouver and City of Toronto in Houston, TX (Special Events, City of Houston) last week to discuss the issue of human rights at mega-sporting events.

It was a pleasure to visit the DorfmanMilano facility in City of Garland, Texas Government to see the production of the iconic
Royal Canadian Mounted Police hats from start to finish!

Our visit highlighted both the trade ties and the strength of the U.S. and Canada Security and Defense Partnership!

Canadian and U.S. law enforcement agencies enjoy robust, positive & collaborative relationships in a range of joint investigations across the spectrum of shared criminal threats.

This week, we were lucky enough to host one of Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Corporals in both Austin and Dallas, TX to profile this partnership!

We were welcomed enthusiastically by the Austin Police Mounted Patrol Austin Police Department for a tour of their new stables and to watch the unit complete a series of drills. Thank you for the informative visit and discussion on the unit's mission and their role in protecting the City of Austin.

2023 celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the RCMP, and what better way to connect with our partners regarding the strength of the U.S. and Canadian security and defense partnership than by hosting an iconic “Mountie” across our region!
