The UT Southwestern Medical Center #HIFU team led by Dr. Bhavya Shah offers tremor patients a breakthough image-guided procedure to pinpoint cables in the #brain that cause #tremors. Most patients see immediate results after the procedure as showcased in the #spiral drawings the patient is asked to complete before and immediately after the procedure. Welcome to the New Chair of Radiology
UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of #Radiology is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin G. Pomper, M.D., Ph.D., as the new Chair of the Department of Radiology, effective Dec. 1. He will hold the Effie and Wofford Cain Distinguished Chair in Diagnostic Imaging. Dr. Pomper joins us from Johns Hopkins Medicine , where he was Professor of Radiology and Radiological Science, Director of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Associate Dean of Entrepreneurship and Technology Development, and Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Translational Molecular Imaging. He also served as faculty in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering. Welcome Seung Kim, MD, MBA, FSIR, Professor of Vascular Interventional Radiology and Medical Director of Interventional Oncology in the Department of Radiology to UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. With more than 29 years of experience, Dr. Kim offers patients expertise in both diagnostic radiology and #vascular and interventional #radiology . He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Cornell University, where he graduated Magna cm Laude and in the top 3% of his class. He received his professional training at Baylor College of Medicine and served as a fellow and instructor at the University of Cincinnati. #InterventionalRadiology #Radiology
