Safety is our number one priority at Atmos Energy, and we want to remind our customers to watch for signs of a gas leak:

- Smell a rotten egg or sulfur-like odor
- See blowing dirt, persistent bubbling in puddles, or standing water or dead vegetation in an otherwise healthy area
- Hear a hissing or roaring sound around your natural gas piping, meter or appliances

During an outage last month, Gainesville Independent School District was gracious enough to open its doors, providing our employees with restrooms and a warm place to strategize & hold safety meetings. Today, we gratefully returned the favor, donating $10,000 to the Gainesville Education Foundation-Tx.

Today, we were blessed and SUPER excited to be presented with a check for $10,000 from Atmos Energy.

During the ice storm in January, Chalmers Elementary opened their doors to Atmos employees who worked tirelessly to ensure Gainesville residents were able to have their power back on as quickly as possible.

Chalmers provided water and snacks as well as opened all of their facilities for Atmos employees use, so that they would have a warm place to rest, clean restrooms to use, and tables in the cafeteria to eat their meals.

We are so thankful to Atmos Energy and look forward to partnering with them again in the future.
