3 Mistakes you may be making when toning the hair.. 1. Processing Time - let it sit, if you have porous areas (like around the face) apply it to those areas last. 2. Formulas - tone at the same level the hair is lifted to. Level 9 toner doesn’t tone level 8 hair. Use a balanced formula and your color wheel. 3. Use the dedicated developer, not a higher developer than can lift the base. Watch me paint this hair for maximum Blonde impact❕ Mixing that @olaplex for protection and using my favorite tools 💯 I’m painting a mix of V’s and singles in the back depending on where I want it heavier. I feel like I get a better result mixing the techniques 👌🏼 She is a previous balayage so I blend the lightener down only painting through the ends if necessary. Painting on a diagonal gives me the best blend overall for my finished look. ✨ And then I Shake the crown to find the natural split so I can avoid a black hole all while leaving dimension where I want it. 🕳️ In the front I’ve painted mostly singles while elevating the hair up 🆙 at an angle, I’m obsessed with the blend. The plastic pull is as good as a foil pull to me 😉 How about you? Once I’ve shampooed and rinsed I like to section out the front and apply the gloss on that part last so as not to overdo it.
