Few things have been more iconic for us than our stamped cups that we’ve had since day one. Now of course we are still planning on having our logo on the cup, but in addition to that we want to put some illustrations on them.
(if you swipe left you’ll see a bunch of the illustrations I’m talking about)

The artists at Bear Coast have done some amazing work over the past years. And we just can’t decide. So we need to know your favorites.
We set up a little survey (link in store and in bio), it doesn’t require a login or anything, and we would love your input on what designs we should put on our three hot cup sizes.

Our little cups are gonna look so grown up.

We are doing a beach cleanup tomorrow morning at 9 AM at the pier. Everybody that participates gets a Bear Coast token to walk across the street and use for a free drink.

This is all inspired by and her heart for the coast.

It’s our anniversary. 6 years. We are a family owned-small business. I’ve watched my kids grow up along side this community we’ve created.

There aren’t enough pictures on my phone to show how much this Bear Coast journey has meant.

I started Bear Coast years ago as an idea and a pop-up inside of a wine bar.
Then we opened at the Pier.
Then we opened in Dana Point.
We’ve been able to see countless regulars get married, have kids, and are now serving chocolates to those kids as regulars as well.

I look around now at our two current locations, our warehouse in roastery, and more locations on the way… And I’m very thankful.

Even when the pandemic shut us down, and staff shortages caused major headaches… The friendships and people this “pop-up” has created carried us through with such sincerity and happiness. It gets me very emotional.

Every anniversary we like to celebrate by donating back. We’ve had two weddings in the Bear Coast community so far… And we have a third one on the way this summer.

and are getting married this summer, and we are donating a portion of all our sales today to their honeymoon fund.

This Bear Coast family is amazing, and it’s such a great opportunity to use it to help Kyle and Gabbi start a new family.

It’s what’s on the outside and the inside that counts. With the amount of care that goes into the bag it’s really nice to know that Brian Kesling] made it look good on the outside too.

The travel, the meeting with farmers, the sampling and tasting, recipe development on our roaster up here in San Clemente, and then dialing it in at the café as well. Hundreds of hours go into each bag of coffee we sell.

Luckily we fall in love with the process a long time ago.

Friday is Earth Day, we’re celebrating by discounting all of our reusable stuff that you can buy. That’s all the mugs, tumblers, and coffee canisters they can replace the things we all toss in the trash with items that are not pretty… but great for the planet.

Also, we give a discount to anybody that brings in their own cup to the café for their drink. So essentially these mugs can pay themselves off if you think about it. Does that count as a life hack? I don’t know what qualifies.
