Patient update: Power was restored late last night. After 8 days without power we are back up and running and will be working diligently today to catch up. Thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult time.

Patient update: Day 8 without power. Eversource is telling us by late tonight we will be back up and running. We really hope so! Either way we are open for walk-Ins with Dr Hopper until 5pm today.

Patient update: We are STILL OUT OF POWER at the office! We have been seeing patients as needed on a walk in basis while maintaining social distancing restrictions. With the rising heat inside the office today, we will be closing the office at 5pm. We will be reaching out to all patients affected by this situation. We apologize for the inconvenience and really appreciate your patience and understanding through this crazy time.

A note to our patients: Despite still being without power due to the recent storm, we are OPEN for business. We have no phones or email access but we will be available for scheduled appointments. Please stay safe and contact us through Facebook this week with any questions or concerns.

Additionally, after much consideration, our office will be available starting Monday 4/20 for appointments to address essential care for urgent matters both in-office and via Zoom/Facetime. We take your health and safety very seriously but also want to be of service for those who urgently need our help. We will continue to monitor and follow CDC safety guidelines as well as take additional in office measures to reduce risk as much as possible. All visits will be one to one with the doctor, your temperature will be taken on arrival, and we ask that you wear a mask for your visit. This decision to be open for urgent matters is not without risk, however, so please, if your issue is not an urgent matter or if you suspect that you or someone you have been in contact with shows symptoms of CoVid-19, we ask that you stay home.

As a doctor and small business owner, I am tasked with the difficult decision to stay open or close during this global pandemic. Sports chiropractic requires close contact with patients for effective treatment. It is impossible to treat safely from a distance. Cleaning surfaces, tables, doorknobs, bathroom faucets, using gloves and wearing a mask may all be helpful, but no one is sure of the transmission possibilities; we don’t know if these precautions are enough.

Last week, patients came in who truly needed care, but high-risk groups and non-emergent cases rightly did not schedule. This reduced exposure may be the best protection we have while learning how to adapt to the situation.

This national crisis will only diminish if we all work together. It is with sadness, but necessity, I must close my office for the next two weeks. I will monitor the situation and keep you updated on the office status.

During this time, I will be available for consultations, face time guidance and phone/email exchanges without charge.

Another amazing day at Copper Mountain, CO for the Winter Dew Tour. 3 feet of snow in 2 days and counting. We have a big day tomorrow for competition and will be streaming online all day. I personally can’t wait for the Streetstyle comp at night but also check out the superpipe and slopestyle.

Wrapping up another great day getting ready for the start of the 2020 Winter Dew Tour. It was a chilly -15 degrees this morning but that can’t spoil the building energy for this awesome event. Here’s a few picks of the progress.
