It has been an honor to be part of this wonderful project.
Creeping Buttercup is blooming. Another invasive that loves wet meadow. Since it is toxic, it is not susceptible to browse. But I have to admit, it is a pretty yellow flower. So, I make a small bouquet before I pull it out.
Yellow flag iris unfortunately is a noxious invasive species. One person planted it on Ball Pond and it has spread around the pond. Here it is at the boat launch. As waterfront owners, please research plants before planting. The health of our pond is in the balance.
The blue baptisia, clematis and iris are adding blue accents to our garden. A great way to start our Memorial Day weekend. Have a safe and happy memorial day.
