Q: What are some important cultural traditions or values that you celebrate during Hispanic Heritage Month?

Her reply was:

“I love to cook and with that being said, I invite our daughters and sons-in-law over for Sunday Dinner. We play Loteria/Dominos and watch football. We go down memory lane about the traditions that Art’s parents and mine instilled in us growing up. If Dinner does not work, we go with the Mexican Breakfast with Pan De Dulce after church. It’s all about family with us and now that we are grandparents, we want to show that to our grandson and granddaughter. Thank you again for asking me and I am humbled and touched.”

Tara has over 20 years of specialized originations, operations management, and compliance skills. Before joining NewFed, she served as Chief Compliance Officer for Cherry Creek Mortgage since 2016. Tara spent 15 years at LenderLive Network, where she most recently served as Director of Corporate Compliance. A true advocate for the mortgage banking industry, Tara is past President of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) Board of Directors, serves as Board of Governor for the CMLA, Chair of the CMLA Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee (LARAC), and past Chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) State Legislative and Regulatory Committee. Tara earned the prestigious Certified Mortgage Bankers (CMB) designation by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) in 2018 and is a regular CMB Prep Course Instructor for the MBA. She is a regular speaker at various state and national compliance conferences.
