Our teachers and staff are taking the sound advice of Mrs. Andrea Lindsey, our BCBE District 2 Board Member, to relax and enjoy their summer break. We want to say a big ‘Thank you!’ to Mrs. Lindsey and Mr. Lindsey for bringing this sweet treat to help us celebrate the end of a great school year!

They celebrated today with a treat bag, a special snack, and an athletic pass for the 2024-2025 school year. Today we had our “Top Reader Breakfast” where we celebrated the top three students from each grade level with the most AR points for the year. All nine students in this group had at least 200 AR Points, with our top reader (fourth grader, Kohen Sanders) having 1,048.3 points. The 9 students combined had a grand total of 4,285.1 points with an average comprehension of 91.5%! Way to go! Our last day of 23-24 chess club. Thanks to all the teachers who volunteered their time to make this happen.
Our PTO and parent volunteers ended Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week with 90s style and a duty free lunch from Newks! We want to thank all those that helped us honor and celebrate our amazing faculty and staff this week! We love our WJC family !
Opportunity for our rising 4th-6th graders!
The annual 100 Point Club Field Trip took place this week. The eligible students got to watch the Pensacola Blue Wahoos play the Birmingham Barons. What a great day to celebrate accomplishments!
Mrs.Grow's class has been working hard all year to publish a class book!

Congratulations to the following students who, based on their chess knowledge, were chosen to represent our school at a county wide chess tournament. Although we did have one student who placed 2nd in the intermediate division, all six should be proud of their Leader in Me skills as they moved through the rounds. Dr. Heald was proudest of all. In no particular order are Nathan Powell, Peyton Eubanks, Tre Peterson, Isaac Burcham, Micah D'Amico, and Finley Wren.

Today we celebrated our teachers and staff as we begin Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week with “Sock Hop & Grease Lightning” 50s theme. Join us tomorrow as we continue our celebration with 60s “Tie-dye and Flower Power”. Wear your favorite school appropriate 60s attire! Tomorrow is “Treat Your Teacher to a Pre-packed Snack”!
There are only 10 yearbooks left to purchase. Online ordering is no longer available. If you pay by check, please make sure the student's name as well as the teacher's name is on the check. If you pay by cash, please secure it in an envelope with the same information (student & teacher name) on the front of the envelope.
Thank you to our PTO and parent volunteers for providing our teachers and staff a sweet treat and duty-free lunch break to end this week. Next week, students will celebrate the end of 2nd quarter with holiday theme days. Everyone is looking for to our upcoming break!
