Daphne Beginning Bands
For those interested in band at WJ Carroll Intermediate School, Daphne East Elementary School, and Belforest Elementary School.
A few dates to choose from for instrument night! It’s a one stop place for your child to try and place on an instrument and for you to get supplies and an instrument! Please sign up for a date and time slot. You will only need to attend one. If you have issues with the QR code, I’ll share the link in the comments.
Congratulations to our NEW Beginning Band Director, Melissa White!
Melissa White is a Daphne native and graduated from Daphne High School in 2002. She was a member of The Sound of the Eastern Shore, playing both oboe in concert band and percussion in the front ensemble. Mrs. White graduated from the University of Mobile and began her teaching career in Baldwin County. She has over 15 years of teaching experience at the elementary and middle school level, but her passion is teaching beginning band. Professionally, she has served as a guest clinician and judged several events in Mobile and Baldwin County. Mrs. White resides in Daphne with her husband Michael, daughters Kaylee and Katherine. She expressed how excited she is to share her love of all things band with the Daphne community.
Go Trojans!
Today’s Spring Concerts were extra special! I was super pleased with the jobs of the students! Today marked my last concerts as a state employee. Effective June 1, I will retire from the great state of Alabama. It has been my life’s pleasure teaching Daphne’s sons and daughters the past ten years. I have never forgotten the kindness shown to me from the families since day one. Thank you all so much for allowing me to impact your children!
If I taught your kid feel free to send any new or old photos of your kid playing for us.
