And just like that the 42nd annual Havre de Grace Decoy Festival has come to an end. It was great seeing Old friends meeting new ones too. And most importantly seeing my normal customers and meeting new ones as well!! Thank you to the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum for another awesome event!! We are already planning on stuff for next year.

New Display Shelves came in!! Going to use these for shows that I can’t bring my big wooden back display. These displays are meant to be taken apart but I’m going to be using my go to glue to hold it all together!

The first cork minis I’ve made! Limited edition seeing as I have no more cork. lol haven’t decided if I want to get more yet either.

In the Collection made by Capt Harry Jobes a Fulvous Tree Duck made back in 2014. This is a very rare duck in my collection due to a few reasons; 1. There aren’t many made by Capt Harry and 2. It different that you don’t see many carved to begin with. This is a decoy that will continue to stay in my collection and will never be resold or giving away. I remember helping him make these but never got to see them finished being painted due to me leaving Togo on my own to make decoys.

I have more on order from him with a nice long list of ducks I want him to make so I have a complete mini collection from him. I hope to meet him in person one day. First in the Collection these 2 miniature geese a Canada Goose and Snow goose made by Capt Harry Jobes of Aberdeen, MD. I was working for him when he made these. Funny story is we made a lot of them and his hand started getting tired so he looks at me and says “pick up a maker and start helping me sign my name on these!”
You can see the difference in the signatures on the bases. The Canada Goose was signed by me for him and the Snow Goose was sign by Capt Harry!
