Are You An Over-Preparer Like Me?
Finding the balance between preparing and taking action...

I remember how the day I bought our non-refundable airline tickets to Spain, to walk the Camino, it got really real. I thought to myself, ok, I'm feeling it now.

I come from a philosophical approach to life that says you can never over-prepare. I was a Boy Scout. What can I say?

I've also learned over the years that it is not so much the preparation but rather how you deal with the setbacks that get you through to the goal.

At some point it's, "Ready or not, here we go!"

Often the decision to go is the easiest part of the journey. It's the making or keeping that decision right, where the work piles up.

And from sad experience, I also know there really is a cold place waiting for timid souls.

So, if you're an over-preparer like me, all I can say is that it's time to take a deep breath, trust yourself, and take the next step towards your goals.
