Join us Sunday, October 27th, from 11am–3:30pm at Community Park for a FREE Halloween festival!

Enjoy 12+ entertainment stations, zombie bike mechanics, a professional stage, and plenty of food and drink vendors. Highlights include zombies on stilts, a Halloween marching band, and DJ Mellax with a giant inflatable octopus!

Take part in the famous Zombie Bike Parade: arrive at 11am, and set off from 11:30am–1pm for a five-mile ride from Community Park to Mace Ranch Park and back. Join hundreds of Halloween lovers in your best ZOMBIE or Halloween costume!

We’re partnering with dozens of local and regional organizations to offer unforgettable experiences—mad scientists, rotting robots, dancing dead, swords, lasers, and more! Complete the Zombie Kingdom Quest for prizes, and expect plenty of photo ops and laughs—it’s all FREE!

Catch the BMX zombie stunt show at the parade midpoint and the Skydance Skydiving zombies at 3:30pm! Costumes are encouraged with prizes for our favorites! Plus, grab commemorative glow-in-the-dark T-shirts and support local non-profits like Norcal Trykers, Toys for Tots, and Friends of Watermelon Music.

Davis just got a new business! 🤩

Check out ! This brand new charcuterie business just started up and we had to check them out!

The box came loaded with all kinds of goodies and we tried just about every combination and permutation of tastes. Why is charcuterie so good?! It’s so fun too!? Davis needs more of this!

There are so many parks and reasons to picnic in Davis (cough cough *Picnic Day* cough cough), and this box is perfect for anything like that. They are also great for gatherings where you have some finger foods ready for the group. So much potential for food-related activities 😎

They are flexible with the contents of the cheese boxes so be sure to ask if you have any questions! We customized ours to our liking and had a great time. The lead time is 2 days for orders but they have the petite box daily.

Hey Davis! Throughout our time together, we’ve shared all types of content and have gotten all kinds of feedback. One of the things we feel very passionate about is the state of Davis. And many of you seem to agree! Whether it be positive or negative, we all have our opinions.

Guess what! The only way to have your opinion truly be heard? VOTE!

We are here to share all things Davis and this topic absolutely falls under that category. If you feel like your voice is not being heard or if you want to add more input to our leadership in this city, you have to vote!

What an amazing event put together by the city of Davis today in observance of the holiday. Our community is amazing and we are so proud to be apart of it.

Before you say, “oh, what kind of person doesn’t know how to handle winter in Davis!?”, think about the various humans that are here for their first winter. This post is for them! Sharing some tips for all the uninitiated (aka SoCal folks 🌚 and others) out there!

As we approach the festive season, we'd like to inform everyone that the Toys for Tots drive is currently underway in our community. If you're feeling generous, consider donating some gifts for children in need. Here are some details to keep in mind:

-Please contribute new and unwrapped gifts (for safety reasons).
-The Davis Police Department has set up donation bins at their department building, accessible during regular office hours for the public to drop off donations.
-Keep an eye out for bins and a team in front of Target; they'll be accepting donations on certain occasions, especially if you find yourself shopping there.
-Santa will be present at Target on December 14th during the main event, so bring along your friends and family for some festive pictures! (Check out last years’ picture 🤩)

The big day is December 14th, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. If you can only make it one day, this would be the day to choose.

One of our favorite features on campus!

Check out the enchanting Redwood Section at UC Davis Arboretum, where these colossal giants, also known as Sequoia sempervirens, create a living tapestry of natural wonder! We got really nerdy one day and decided to research all about the arboretum. Here's what we learned.

Did you know that some of these trees can reach staggering heights of over 300 feet? That's like having a 30-story building in your backyard!

Nestled right here in Davis, this serene garden showcases not only the beauty of these majestic trees but also the diverse flora and fauna that thrive in this unique ecosystem. The arboretum serves as an outdoor classroom, offering a fascinating glimpse into the intricate web of life supported by these ancient giants.

Fun fact: Redwoods have been around for a long time—think ancient civilizations and dinosaurs! Some of these arboreal wonders can live for more than 2,000 years. Now, that's what we call timeless beauty.

So, whether you're a nature enthusiast, a history buff, or just someone looking for a nature retreat, the Redwood Section at UC Davis Arboretum is a must-visit.

Immerse yourself in the magic of these towering giants and let the whispers of the wind through the leaves transport you to a world where time slows down, and the wonders of nature take center stage.
