Pretty sure it’s not really a collaboration brew if you don’t get this shot? We made some corn lager with today. malted corn with some pils malt and a bit of New Zealand Wai-iti hops to add a bit of citrusy hop fun. This one will see some grilled limes and be served at the Peoples Beer Fest October 12
Sorry about my skinny legs, but we have two freshies we are excited about.
Custom Cut is a tasty little light lager coming in at 4.2% with Mandarina Bavaria and Hallertau Tradition hops. Bready malt and herbal hops with a splash of citrus. The beer nobody asked for but the one we want to drink.
Nasal Appraisal is a blend of stainless and oaked sours with buddhas hand grown at the family farm. Sweet tarts from brettanomyces and wonderfully loud citrus aroma.
Late as always, but it’s national dog day apparently.
Arrow is showing off this apricot pale ale brewed with with some fruit and 100% malt. On tap and in cans at both locations as well as out and about. Easy drinking, dry finish and lots of apricot.
It’s about that time of year again. We might be a week late, but we survived another year making beer. To celebrate we put a new round of Annual Shotgun into cans. This might be the most normal version yet? We took a really light lager and added honeysuckle flowers and a bit of blood orange. Spritzy, floral and only 3.3%.
Thanks for supporting our little labor of love.
Fresh Double IPA made it into cans yesterday. Midnight Screamers is a bumped up version of our Sunshine Highway. Citra and Mosaic hops in a smooth easy drinking sleeper. Mango, fresh orange juice and the slightest dash of the devils lettuce.
It’s a bit warm out, but we’ve got the water you’re craving. Dunnies Light is one of our favorites, and it’s back and tasting tasty. 30% rice, some German Pilsner malt and a dash of some Mandarina hops all lead to crisp and refreshing light lager.
Fresh cans of Umbrella Parachutist and Pilfered Pils. Draft coming soon.
Pilfered is made with all German Pilsner malt with Mandarina and Tettnang hops. Light and crispy with herbal and spicy hop notes with a touch of citrus.
Umbrella Parachutist is a light hazy IPA with Mosaic and Idaho Gem hops. Citrus, pine and berry fruit punch hop notes.
We will be at Picnic in the Park this Wednesday. Fresh beers out of a beat up truck.
We made some beer with the other day to support Davis is For Everyone IPA comes in at 6% with Citra, Mosaic, Loral and Idaho Gem hops. Bright and easy drinking with notes of berry, citrus and pine. Cans at both of our locations, Sudwerk and at the Farmers Market this Wednesday.
We didn’t plan it, but we’ve got a couple beers named for our brewery dog Tyne Tyne today. She’s pretty great.
Death Breath is an Imperial Stout with cacao nibs and Left Hook From Hell is a German Helles Lager. If you know the little sweetheart, then you know where the names come from.
Death Breath comes in at 9.1% of rich chocolate goodness and is on tap at both locations with cans coming soonish. Left Hook comes in at 5% sporting all German Pilsner malt with Tradition and Tettnang hops. This delightfully easy drinking lager is in cans at both locations and on tap at The Local.
Fresh Sunshine Highway IPA canned under Arrow’s watchful eye today.
Fresh cans of Eva’s Doodles made it into the to-go fridges this week. Doodles is a light bodied IPA with Simcoe, Idaho Gem and Centennial hops. Bright berries and lemon in the aroma, earthy malt and a quick refreshing finish. Perfect for a typical Saturday adventure.
New IPA in cans today with draft coming soon. Think Inside the Box is for our wonderful brewery cat, Barb.
We messed around cooking some oranges in the mash. Did it work? I don’t know, but it was fun. El Dorado, Mosaic and some Centennial cryo make for a pretty wonderful aroma. Lots of citrus and stone fruit on the nose paving the way for a light and easy drinker with a slight lingering bitterness.
Wonderful art work by
Pocket Taco made it into cans on Tuesday. On Draft at The Local now, with cans at both spots.
Our mixed fermentation chelada of sorts. Grilled limes, grilled jalapeños (maybe some serranos) plus a dash of salt all tossed into our mixed fermentation base beer. Lots of lime and pepper spice in the aroma, even more lime throughout with the jalapeño flavor on the finish. Nope, somehow it’s not spicy. It’s just the refreshing 4.2% beer that shouldn’t exist… but we are pretty glad it does.
Time to go by some zesty Clamato to make some soup.
Lots going on today and most of it is kinda dumb, so you know we are having fun.
The brewery cat, Barb, gets her own beer today. An ipa with navel oranges in the mash, Mosaic, El Dorado and some cryo Centennial.
Dressed to Spill black lager is back in cans too. And it tastes pretty good with an orange in it. Cans at both spots, with draft coming soon.
Our hands still hurt from the hot things, but Pocket Taco is in the works. A beer that makes no sense, probably shouldn’t exist, but one we kinda love. Mixed fermentation Berliner Weisse with grilled limes, jalapeño and sea salt. And maybe some Serranos too… those ones were tasty.
Fun Police double IPA is back in cans and on tap downtown. The queen of not having fun didn’t feel like cooperating for a picture.
Fun Police comes in at 7.8% with Citra and Simcoe hops. Notes of mango, melon, tangerine and a bit of pine to finish it all out.
Little bit of quality control while cleaning kegs. Pretty excited to share this little larger with you all. 4.2% with Loral, Mandarina and 100% heritage malt. Spunded for spritzy-as natural carbonation, horizontally lagered and headed into cans (with unicorns on them) as soon as we have labels. Lots going on in a small easy drinker.
Barb would like you all to know that we have FRESH Aquarius Rex in cans at both locations! (She’s very knowledgeable) she’d also like me to tell you that Aquarius Rex is a west coast IPA with Centennial, Mosaic, and Simco hops giving it notes of citrus and melons, with a nice lingering bitterness.
We made some beers for MaltCon2024 and with malt from out in Montana. These two beers started out on the same brew before getting wildly different after the boil.
Treasures of Helles comes in at 4.5% with Tradition and Tettnang hops. Rounded to show off the malt with a nice German hop spice that mellows as it warms. Cans at both locations and draft downtown.
Big ‘ol Fences is a mixed fermentation farmhouse of sorts. Fermented with our house funk blend, plus a neutral yeast, then finished on Meyer lemons and bit of a Loral dry hop. Lots of lemon on the nose, some purple lollipop Brettanomyces funk and a bit of a shandy finish. 4.9%. Cans at both locations, with draft coming soon.
The weather is a bit rough out, so we will closing a bit early at The Local tonight. Try not to blow away. Jonah and Sedona will be around till 6.
We’re retiring some big ones. Grumpy Arrow for scale. These are 125 gallon puncheons, perfect planters for citrus trees or whatever you can dream up. $75 for 1/2 barrel planters or $120 for the whole barrel. They are big, awkward and heavy. Cut they measure about 21” high and 34” diameter.
We’ve got a few 1/2 barrel planters for sale on Olive today. The hoops have been pinned and they are looking pretty nice. Thirty bucks each
Join us and on Thursday’s for some board game shenanigans. 4-7pm at our Olive Dr. tasting room. Doug has a pretty amazing collection.
Spandex Warrior is back in cans at both locations with draft coming shortly.
Brewed simply to be light, soft and silky. Pilsner malt, oats and El Dorado hops. Pineapple and apricots on the aroma finishing up with the whole fruit salad. Not a normal fruit salad, like a midnight snack after an afternoon bbq. Where you get that nice medley. Watermelon soaked nectarine, and the pineapple is almost red from soaking up everything. Even the grapes somehow absorbed some goodness. It’s kinda like that, but in an IPA.
We did a sprint trip up to Seattle to make some IPA with the wonderful people
Somehow we snuck out without the classic hop dumping collaboration photo, so I am not sure it really counts? If you’re anywhere around Seattle check it out, they make some damn tasty beer.
Couple light and citrusy beers in the to go fridge at both locations today. Perfect for this cold weather. Draft versions coming soon.
Minneola and sea salt is one of our favorite versions of California Hello. Orange zest and juice from the family farm with a dash of sea salt to round it all out. A light, tart and fruity 4.9% beer mimosa of sorts.
Aimless Modern Pilsner is made with floor malted German Pilsner malt and Loral hops. Old world bready and biscuity malt flavors under bright lemony hop aromatics.
As usual we have been slacking with social media, but we’ve been keeping busy packing beer… all with .skow.art on the labels

And last but not least, one of our favorite sours is back in cans and on draft soon. Fastest Man in the Traffic Jam is a 4.9% oak aged sour with a stupid amount of nectarines and a dash of Citra. It’s pretty wonderful.
Causeway Expresso is back in cans and on tap at The Local.
We took our Oceans Between, Baltic Porter, and aged in a rye whiskey barrels for 18 months. When we pulled it back into stainless we have it a hefty dose of Comfort Zone. Chocolate, coffee and a touch of rye on the nose, plumb and cherry malt notes and a cold brew coffee finish. 9.3%
