Tennis Summer Social!
Saturday, July 13th from 7-9pm
Davis Senior High School Tennis Complex (14th Street)

All levels are welcome for a fun evening of social tennis!

The Davis Tennis Club Summer tennis social will loosely follow a World Team Tennis format with players sorted into two teams at the beginning of the event. We will have up to four courts of doubles playing at the same time. No ad scoring, random substitutions, and other fun rules! We will fully explain "the rules" on the day of social but a sneak peek below:

-Warmup begins at 7 pm
-Match play starts by 7:15 pm
-Tennis balls and water are provided by the Club.

West Sac.'s Nia Sitandon won the Girls' 14 Singles division at the SATA Jr. Tournament in West Sac. over the weekend, while looking good in her Volleys tee!

We hope everyone is staying safe and we send our thoughts and prayers to those affected by the recent terrible events in our community. Now, more than ever, is a time to come together and lift each other up.

Volleys Tennis Shop is supporting the Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento (JTFS) during today's Big Day of Giving, a day dedicated to raising funds for nearly 700 nonprofits in our region.

We've set a goal to raise $1000 and, after our own contribution, we are looking for 36 of our supporters and customers to give $25 or more to the JTFS to meet that goal.

JTFS supports inclusive tennis programs and opportunities at public facilities, parks, and schools in the Greater Sacramento area for all children, particularly the under-served, who would not otherwise have access to the sport.

Here in Yolo County, JTFS has supported local tennis programs in the past year in the following ways:
* River City HS in West Sacramento received grants for on court equipment and player equipment
* Woodland Park and Rec received a grant to fund programs for underserved youth and a Spring Break one-week clinic
* West Sac Park & Rec received grant for program for underserved youth

In Sacramento, JTFS issued grants to the Natomas, Florin, Dixon, McClatchy, Kennedy and Burbank high school tennis programs.

The City of Woodland has been lacking tennis and pickleball courts for decades. Please help support this community effort to build 10 tennis and 8 pickleball courts at the Woodland Community Center by signing up for the tournament and/or attending the gala.
