Some slow work on centering some tricky partials. Working at 80bpm and changing the rhythm to solidify these intervals.

It just doesn't feel like Christmas to me without a little piccolo trumpet. So, here's a fun little tune for this Christmas Eve.

PS I apologize for the light, my office does not have the best lamps.

I have been rather radio silent for a few months now. There has been a lot going on and I didn't make time to create any content.

With that said, here is a little recording project I did for the holidays. I hope you enjoy my take on, "The Christmas Song". As always, thank you for all of your support. Happy holidays!

I got the opportunity to have a lesson with Chris Martin of the New York Philharmonic this past week. What a pleasure it was getting to meet one of my heroes. Truly inspiring and really helped find the motivation when it's been hard lately.

This is the opening of a piece I'm working on for an upcoming audition. Far from perfect but it's been a lot of fun to work on. Solos for trumpet and band are not something I'm familiar with.

I had a wonderful time teaching some great students and working with the great staff members this past week at Piqua High School's band camp. I always forget how much my students inspire me to be better and keep trying to grow.

Band camp season has officially started and boy has it been hot out there!

Just a little impromptu Bach at the end of the day. Those downward leaps are killer.

These are definitely starting to get tricky! My inner perfectionist is making it hard to want to post these but I have to remember that isnt what these are about. It's about keeping myself honest and trying to improve every week. I think this one helped my flexibility for sure, accuracy and time definitely new work though!
