December 1st and 2nd at the Yellow Cab Building! Handmade Holiday Dayton is held at Yellow Cab Tavern on the first weekend of December every year.

It features tons of local craft vendors where you can buy tons of gifts for the holidays! There are also cocktails, live music and many surprises every year!

Maker profile: Autonomous Crafts. Thomas Halladay creates wooden home decor, using both new and reclaimed wood components. All of Thomas’ items are designed, built and finished here in Dayton. Maker profile: Tasha’s Common Scents. Tasha Jenkins-Noggle hand pours small batches of scented soy candles and tarts. She uses more than 1,000 fragrances! Tasha also makes moisturizing bath bombs, goats milk soap bars, body lotion, hand sanitizer and body/room sprays. Maker profile: Garden Bliss Creations. Gena Buehrer is inspired by her garden and the natural world. Her pottery pieces reflect the colors, textures and beauty of the Earth. Some of her products feature hand-sewn packaging or handmade paper accents, which she makes from recycled paper and botanicals from her garden. Gena will be one of almost 30 vendors at this year’s Handmade Holiday Dayton, Dec. 1-2 at Yellow Cab Tavern

Maker profile: Stephanie Shields Fiber Arts. Stephanie Shields takes her inspiration from plants and nature for her woven wall hangings. They're infused with vibrant colors and organic textures. Stephanie uses wool roving, handspun art yarn and hand-dyed ribbons of velvet, chiffon and recycled sari silk. Her work is assembled on looms or embroidery hoops for easy display. Stephanie also sells weaving kits so you can create your own fiber art wall hangings. Stephanie will be at this year's Handmade Holiday Dayton, Dec. 1-2 at Yellow Cab Tavern

Maker profile: Finders Retro. Talia Jackson creates one-of-a-kind jewelry from vintage, natural and repurposed items. Her unique designs include vintage cinema film cell necklaces, 4-leaf clover lockets, dried mushroom lockets, found object key chains, vintage optical lens necklaces - and so much more! Maker profile: A Pretty Picnic. Kaitlyn Houchins and Chase Kreitzer create individual charcuterie snack boxes, vegetarian cheese boats, homemade jams and trail mixes - all amazing gifts for friends, family and coworkers. A Pretty Picnic uses local ingredients like meats, gourmet cheeses, jams, nuts, sweets, fruits and florals. The items are all handmade in a commercial kitchen. Items can be placed in the mailbox on the front of the building or delivered to the bar during open hours: Thursday 4 pm-9pm, Friday 4 pm-9pm, Saturday 4pm-10pm, and Sunday 4pm to 7pm. Maker profile: Noggle’s Customs. With laser engravers and a 3D printer, Mike Noggle can create pretty much any design you’re interested in. He makes signs, tumblers, slate coasters and pictures, jewelry boxes and drink flasks, among other items. He loves using artificial intelligence to create art and is experimenting with his 3D printer. Mike takes custom orders, but will also have a table of ready-made items at this year’s Handmade Holiday Dayton. Come and see Mike and all the other vendors on Dec. 1-2 at Yellow Cab Tavern.

Maker profile: Barmaid Soap Company. Shannon Kessel has been creating soaps, lotions and other skincare products from scratch since 1999. Many of her soaps contain beer or wine, often from local breweries. Shannon says beer and wine are fantastic ingredients for skin. Her Nag Champa and other lotions have their own cult following. Maker profile: Weezy's Garlic, Spices & More. Louise Berrier grows her own garlic and herbs, then blends them and packages them in grinders and shakers. Weezy's Garlic, Spices & More also creates dips and garlic scape jams. Weezy’s is a favorite at Handmade Holiday Dayton, which is back again this year on Dec. 1 and 2 at Yellow Cab Tavern Come out and support all the artists and makers.

Maker profile: Wonderful Sunshine Studio. Phillip Brough creates functional and sculptural art out of glass. He shapes and layers specially formulated glass, then fires it in a kiln until it melts or fuses together. His art includes serving ware, holiday decorations, garden art, sun catchers, jewelry and so much more.
