It's officially kitten season at the Catfe and here's a few things to remember if you're wanting to adopt young cats and kittens.⁠⁠🐱 ATTENTION: Kittens require nonstop attention and care. Since they're still learning how to cat, it's important to keep a good eye on them so they don't get hurt or injured.⁠⁠🐱 CAT-PROOF: While all cats require some form of cat-proofing in a new owners home, kittens are small and can fit into tiny spaces which why it's important to cat-proof all areas where kittens may hide or run into dangers substances.⁠⁠🐱 COMMITMENT: You may be blinded by cuteness when adopting a kitten and we totally get it! But understand that cats live long lives and are a long-term commitment.⁠⁠🐱 CLAWS: Kittens have sharp teeth and sharp claws so make sure you purchase scratch posts and toys to help train them to avoid scratching furniture.

Chonky cats may be cute, but it's not so cute when it might cause diabetes or other health concerns. Our Cat Care Coordinator weighs them routinely to make sure everyone is staying within health ranges. ⁠⁠Silly is one of three on a diet right now.
