Calling all high school and middle school track runners!!!!

Join for the TWO MILE THUNDER on July 31st from 6PM - 9PM at Beavercreek High School Stadium.

Based on the number of entries, we’ll create multiple heats and finish with a middle school 1600m race, open 3200m race, girls’ main event, and boys’ main event. Start times may change prior to the race as we adjust the number of heats.

Local Olympic legend, Bob Schul, passed away on Sunday. He's still the only American to win the gold medal in the 5000m track & field race.

More than that, he was always willing to talk running and share stories. His influence is wide and deep in the Dayton running community. There are many, MANY members of the Dayton Distance Running Hall of Fame as athletes, coaches, and contributors that were trained or inspired by Bob Schul.

Thank you for your impact on our our sport. Rest in Peace, Bob.

Olympic champion from West Milton dies at 86 Bob Schul, a West Milton native who won an Olympic gold medal in the 5,000-meter run in 1964, died at 86 on Sunday in Middletown, his daughter Robin Thurber told LetsRun.com.

LOCAL RUNNER SPOTLIGHT: Sam Erbach🤩

will be competing in the State Championship this weekend and will be running the 4x8, 800, 1600, 3200.

She is excited to get one last opportunity to run for my school and compete against the best runners in the state.

She is planning on attending Xavier University to play soccer and major in exercise science this upcoming Fall.

Elite and member is usually spotted race walking at ORRRC events. Joel was selected to represent Team USA in the World Race Walk Team Championships in Antalya, Turkey. He competed in the 20k race walk on April 21.

Joel finished in the men’s 20k (12.4 miles) in 1:41:03 finishing 74th place out of 87 athletes representing 50 countries. The top athletes will compete in the Paris Olympics this summer.

5k will roll through two loops to include a mix of recreation path, sidewalk, and road. The Mini Marchers will run 1 lap (400m / 1/4 mile) around a paved track (near the 5k start/finish).
