After picking up their first point on the road this weekend vs Fort Wayne (2-2), the Men's team is traveling to Cincinnati tonight to play their derby vs Kings Hammer! The game is played at Corcoran Field of Xavier University and starts at 7pm. The first game ended in 1-2 for Kings Hammer after a goal in stoppage time for Kings Hammer.

Our women's team is currently sitting in 5th place with a 2-3-3 record (9 points) in the Midwestern Conference. They have four more games remaining this season. The next one is Saturday June 26 at home vs Fire & Ice SC at DOC Stadium at 7pm!

Our men's team is hosting National Champions Flint City Bucks tonight in midweek USL League Two action! Kickoff is slated for 7:00 PM at DOC Stadium in West Carrollton. Head Coach Sid van Druenen commented on the upcoming game: “We displayed a solid defensive performance when we played at Flint, but created very little that game,” said Van Druenen. “But we have improved offensively the past couple games and are creating multiple opportunities as well as scoring goals, so I expect that to continue tonight. We have struggled finding the back of the net and that is the final piece missing for us to get the wins." Come support our guys tonight at DOC Stadium!

The Dayton men's team is seeking to gain momentum in the USL2 season. In its last outing, Dayton [0-5-0] travelled to Flint City Bucks and pushed the defending USL2 national champions to the limit before falling 1-0 in stoppage time. The Lions changed style a bit against Flint City Bucks, opting for a defensive style for nearly the entire contest for the first time this season. Expect Dayton to open it up a bit when Toledo comes calling. “Playing on the road against the national champion after a 5-hour bus ride made us approach that game a bit more conservatively. This won’t be the case for Sunday,” said Dutch Lions Head Coach Sid van Druenen. “We want to try and become more dominant in possession and create more opportunities. Hopefully we can do that on Sunday and get our first win of the season.” This will be Dayton’s second crack at Toledo Villa FC [2-1-2]. The Dutch Lions were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline when the teams met in Toledo in mid-May. “I do believe we played well in Toledo at times, and I give us a good chance this Sunday if we can minimize mistakes in our build,” said Van Druenen. Tough opening weekend for the women's team with back to back games. After a 2-2 draw on Friday on the road vs FC Pride the girls played Cincinnati Sirens FC less than 20 hours later, a game that ended in a 3-0 loss. They play again June 2 away vs Cincinnati Sirens FC. Dutch Lions FC

Real Monarchs (USL Championship), the fully owned MLS affiliate of Real Salt Lake in MLS, announced the hiring of former Dayton Dutch Lions FC player and captain Joel DeLass as the new Assistant Coach. DeLass appeared for Dayton Dutch Lions FC in USL PRO (currently USL Championship, the 2nd tier in US Soccer) from 2011-2014. In 2012, he led the Lions to the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and earned USL Pro All-League Second Team honors. Delass commented on the new challenge: “I’m really excited to be here because it's obviously a very successful organization in the USL Championship. They’ve done a good job developing players through the USL Championship and into the first team. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the organization and very thankful for the opportunity.” We wish Joel all the best!

Ohio Galaxies FC and Dayton Dutch Lions FC are excited to announce an official partnership between both clubs. The main goal of this partnership is to provide expanded playing opportunities for current and former Ohio Galaxies FC players as well as for college age players in the greater Miami Valley area. In cooperation both organizations are introducing Women and Men U23 teams that will compete in the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL) during the 2021 Summer.
