Highlight Moment: Check Presentation for Sunrise Daytona's Shelter In-Place Project

On August 2nd, 2024, we proudly welcomed Senator Tom Wright, Representative Stan McCain, and their staff to our Daytona ADT program for a momentous check presentation ceremony, where they presented a check for $464,538 in support of our Shelter In-Place project! 💙 Thanks to the appropriation they sponsored, these funds will help us harden our building and create a safer, secure space for persons supported with specific medical and physical needs during natural disasters. 🌪️

During their visit, the Senator and Representative toured our day programs and had the opportunity to see our ornaments shop, where the individuals we support handcraft beautiful ornaments that we share with the public. Each was gifted a handcrafted shadowbox filled with ornaments lovingly made by the talented individuals in our ornaments program. 🎁
