Successful reunification requires cooperation and partnership between several different parties. Many people believe that biological parents, caregivers, and service providers automatically have adversarial relationships, but research indicates that when they work together in the best interest of the child(ren), reunification happens faster and is more successful than if they are in opposition. Join us in celebrating these amazing partnerships!

- Recognize the vital role that other family members, social workers, caregivers, service providers, attorneys, courts, etc., play in helping to reunify, strengthen, and support families.
- Inspire other parents that it is possible to address and resolve the issues that led to their separation and to reunify with their children.

There are many misconceptions about foster care. Hundreds of children in our community have suffered abuse, neglect, and abandonment and been removed from their biological families. These youth have entered the foster care system through no fault of their own, but because they have experienced trauma. There is an urgent need for compassionate foster parents to provide a place of refuge for these kids.

Foster parents give a caring, temporary home for a child, teen, or group of siblings until they can be safely reunited with their biological families – or move on to another permanent living arrangement such as adoption. By providing care when children need it most, foster parents can truly make a difference for a lifetime in a relatively short time.
