It was held the 4th weekend of October each year but after 11 years, it is no more.
The Daytona Beach Dream Cruise was a big, fun, & FREE event that was extremely popular with owners & enthusiasts of all years & all types of collector cars & trucks.

Posted in mid-2019: "It is with deep regret and disappointment that I must announce the end of the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. I had hoped someone would come forward to take over the show, as I stated in a comment to a Facebook post on April 30th, but unfortunately no one has.
The main website, Daytona Beach Dream Cruise will remain active probably through August, for anyone who wants to look back at the past 11 years, especially on the Home and History pages. There you will see the t-shirt art, sample Keepsake photos, past promo cards, as well as links to great photos from past years by Peter Bell, Gary Rosier, Gary Bell and others. You might even spot one of your cars! The website for all of the Keepsake photos, Daytona Beach Dream Cruise will remain available to explore and download photos through mid-December of 2019.

I want to thank all of the participants and volunteers who helped out over the years for your support! The 2018 show would not have been possible without tremendous help from Tony Cassata, Pat Abernathy, Lynne Griffin Smith and Dave Abernathy. And the 2017 show would not have happened without James Brady stepping in and providing significant help and advice. I am very grateful for all of their time and efforts to keep the Dream Cruise going for 2 additional years after its founder and director, Rick D'Louhy, passed away.
Blessings to all,
Lynn D'Louhy"
If anyone knows a Buddy Shelton who had 1968 Dodge R/T 440 and showed it at the 1993 spring show at the Speedway (formerly called the Speedway Spectacular), a plaque with its photo has been found. If he'd like to have it, comment here or email [email protected]
I'd like to recognize 3 great cars that were chosen to receive a trophy in memory of Rick D'Louhy, the founder and director of the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. On Thanksgiving Saturday in 2018 at the Volusia Region Antique Automobile Club of America's Birthplace of Speed Show, Chris Koch's 1937 Limited Production Packard won the Rick D'Louhy Judges Choice Award.
On February 14th, Bob Genereux's 1956 Ford Crown Victoria won the Rick's Pick trophy at Day of the Duels car show at the Drive-In Christian Church in Daytona Beach Shores. Many thanks to John Maffucci for offering this special award.
Then on May 25th a beautiful trophy in memory of Rick was awarded to Chuck Hall's 1965 Sunbeam Tiger at the Bay Life Church Car Show in Brandon, FL. Much appreciation goes to Robert D'Angelo for this tribute.
I am writing this to inform you that myself ( Tony Cassata )and( Pat Abernathy ) have decided not to go forward with promoting the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. We wish Lynn D'Louhy luck going forward with the event
Unfortunately, the photos are no longer available because the website had to be taken down due to the cost of maintaining it with the Dream Cruise ending.
Great news, Dream Cruise fans! The 2018 Keepsake Photos are up on the website 2 days before the promised deadline of the end of January, with no thanks to slooow internet!!!
If you go to www.daytonabeachdreamcruise.com and click on the Photos button or the diagonal Keepsake photo at the top right of the page it will take you to the photos website. Then click on the third line below the logo for the 11th Annual Keepsake photos from 2018.
Scroll through the photos to find your vehicle and make a note of what group it is in so you can more easily find it again. Click on your car to download and save it so you can have it printed in any size or put it on any of the many items available from your favorite photo site.
Thank you to Tommy Jones for stepping in at the last minute to take the photos when Geoff Hacker, the volunteer photographer for the first 10 years of the Dream Cruise, was too sick to do it.
Thank ALL of you for your patience! Happy downloading!
Last call for anyone who didn't get a photo taken of their car, but would like to have a Keepsake photo of the 11th Annual Dream Cruise, just send a picture of your car to [email protected] and it will be forwarded to the person who applies the template overlay. Also, if you want a t-shirt, email the size you want and where you live to the same email address.
Many thanks to Peter Bell with Ottawa Car Scene for sharing his fantastic photos of the special vehicles at Saturday's Daytona Beach Dream Cruise! The Florida car show family welcomes this great group who will shoot some area shows and share them so everyone can enjoy them. You can see more of Peter Bell's photos from the 2016 and 2017 Dream Cruise on the website by scrolling down the Home page and clicking on the links.

The 11th Annual Daytona Beach Dream Cruise is in the books, as we continued it for the 2nd year without Rick D'Louhy, the founder and producer of the event for 9 years. It would not have happened if Tony Cassata had not stepped up in mid-June and offered to help me make it happen. In addition to his regular job, Tony is a car show promoter and producer himself, with a show at Holly Hill City Hall on Nov. 3rd.
He brought in Pat Abernathy, a wizard at details, organizing, contracts, permits, and documents. She is majorly involved with the Halifax Art Festival, also next weekend Nov. 3rd & 4th.
Tony also called on Lynne Smith, an amazing go-getter for sponsors, hotel and restaurant partners, registration lists and Instagram posting.
Dave Abernathy volunteered to be the finances and accounting details team member.
Tommy Jones helped with promoting, seeking sponsors, putting up signs. Then, the day before the show, he stepped in to take the Keepsake photos when our volunteer photographer for 10 years was too sick to travel from Tampa.
There were people who pitched in to hand out promotion cards and help the 3 days of the show. It takes a big team to do what Rick did, and I want to thank everyone, including all of you who came to the show or wanted to, who shared our posts, told your friends and gave out cards. Everyone helped to make it a BIG success! Many, many thanks! ~ Lynn D'Louhy
