They’re back!!! Welcome back Crabby Joe's!
They’re a long time favorite of mine and my husbands for our date days. We’ve missed them!
What a ride it’s been. Almost 2 years and we finally are back! We just wanted to take a second and thank all of our loyal fans for making all of this worth it. It’s been a crazy few days, so keep bearing with us as we get our sea legs back.
I know you’ll all say we had 2 years to do it, but we do have a little maintenance to do next Tuesday, 8/27, which we’ll be closed all day for (plus it’ll give our team a quick breather). We’ve got our roll down windows/shades being installed on the deck and our ice machines getting installed.
So sorry we’ll miss you on Tuesday, but we’ll be right back at it Wednesday for breakfast. Thanks for the good times so far, and cheers to more good times to come. 🍻
When your favorite person in the office leaves 😭😭😭😭 Taking Kara Beauty
ORMOND— DO NOT sleep on this woman. She does AMAZING work (lashes, brows, and more!) and she’s a beautiful soul. 💕
Kara, I hope your new space treats you well and your business blooms into everything you dream it to be! I’m booking my next appointment asap!
If y’all are interested, go to her page I linked above for her info and online booking link. You will not be disappointed!
I actually LOVE people who trauma dump, who cares if I just met you 27 minutes ago, tell me why your mom lost custody of you, I want the gossip
Wish us luck.. we viewed an office yesterday that I’m in loooove with! It’s not far from where I am now, like literally around the corner, but it gets me off Seabreeze, it’s a private office, parking lot parking, and you’d be able to pull right up, park right at the door and walk in to a 2 room office that would be mine and Bernadett (my partner for those who haven’t met her). We’ve got a little competition for it but it seemed like the manager was more interested in us getting it since we want to stay longer than the other people who want it. I think I would like it better but I think y’all would too!
Fingers crossed… I think we will know in a few days. 🙏 🤞
Thank you to whoever created a Yelp page for the business. The things you said about me were actually really flattering! haha
I claimed it and updated a few things but left all the info you created. 😅❤
We’re back home but I won’t be back to the office/work until Friday. Taking my normal days off to get settled back in to home. I will start getting back to everyone on Friday. Thank you for all the support and patience during this time!
Just a short PSA, if anyone notices my signage down at the office, DO NOT PANIC! We passed our annual inspection yesterday, but I was nearly fined for putting the wrong number on my signs and business cards. I put my personal massage license number and not our establishment number. I just didn’t want anyone putting 2 and 2 together, my absence and then the signs and think something happened! I’m returning soon! 😅
Update on My Return//My Husband's Recovery
Dear Valued Clients,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible patience and understanding during my absence from the office. As some of you may know, my husband underwent a kidney transplant recently, and the road to recovery has been challenging but made more manageable by your support.
Your generous donations were truly a lifeline for us during this time. They helped cover our stay at the Gabriel House of Recovery [a hospital requirement], groceries, and medication copays. Without your kindness, we wouldn't have been able to manage the extended recovery period and the need for me to be by his side [also, a hospital requirement, but I'm also grateful to be here for him].
Unfortunately, we faced a setback recently when my husband was readmitted to the hospital due to contracting parainfluenza, pneumonia, and a UTI. However, I'm relieved to share that he has been discharged and is quickly recovering. Our stay here has been extended for at least another week, but we are hopeful that we'll be back home soon.
I anticipate returning to the office around mid-May if all goes well from this point and will be reaching out to those clients whose appointments had to be canceled as soon as I have a solid date. For those currently with appointments after May 7th on the books, I intend on keeping them unless our stay here is extended again. In that case, I will personally reach out to reschedule to each individual personally. If it is before May 7th, this is in error and will need rescheduled. I did catch that the system allowed 2 through my scheduling block today.
Thank you once again for your understanding, support, and generosity. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Warm regards,
Heather Williams
For the time being while I'm away, if you have any need to contact me, please call or text my personal cell at 386-681-8477 as I'm not currently checking my business cell very frequently.
PS: For anyone who would like to see more personal details of his surgery and recovery, feel free to look me up on Facebook, the posts are public or feel free to add me just search for Heather Williams or on Tiktok under username UglyStrayCat.
Several of y’all have heard me say your pillow could be what’s causing your pain! 🤣
Happy National Sibling Day! I want to take a moment to introduce you to my amazing siblings, who have each played a significant role in shaping who I am today. 💖
In order by age from oldest to youngest:
First, there's my brother Sebastian, the energetic whirlwind of our family. Just 2 and a half years younger than me, he was always full of life and constantly exploring new hobbies, from skateboarding to video games to guitar. He was my best friend throughout our childhood, and is a big part of why I'm so passionate about mental health advocacy today. Sebastian tragically passed away at the age of 17 in 2010, but his memory lives on as a reminder to prioritize mental well-being and break the stigma surrounding mental health struggles.
Next up is my brother Brian, who is 8 and a half years younger than me. He still resides in Oklahoma, where he works as a manager for Dominos.
On my mom's side, I have three siblings who live in Holland: Adam and twins Erik and Sofia. Despite the geographical distance, they are very much a part of my life, and I love them dearly. They may be young enough to be my kids, but they bring so much joy and laughter to our family.
Last but not least is my sister Maggie, the youngest of us all on my dad's side. Besides sharing the same voluminous hair, Maggie and I have a lot in common, from our love of drawing to our passion for video games. She's not just my sister; she's my kindred spirit and confidante.
As National Sibling Day approaches, I'm grateful for the bond I share with each of my siblings, near and far. They've taught me about love, resilience, and the importance of family, and I wouldn't be who I am today without them by my side. 💕
Today, we celebrate World Health Day—a reminder of the importance of prioritizing our health and well-being every day. 💪 Let's take a moment to honor our bodies, minds, and spirits, and commit to making positive choices that support our overall health. Whether it's eating nourishing foods, staying active, practicing mindfulness, or seeking support when needed, let's each take a step towards a healthier, happier life. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. 💖
🎉 April Fools' Day Fun: Massage Therapy Myths Busted! 🎉
Happy April Fools' Day, everyone! 😄 Today, let's have a little fun by debunking some common massage therapy myths that might have you scratching your head. Ready? Let's dive in! 🌊
🚫 Myth #1: Massages Are Only for Relaxation: False! While massages are indeed incredibly relaxing, they offer a wide range of benefits beyond just relaxation. From reducing muscle tension and alleviating pain to improving circulation and boosting immune function, massages are like a superhero for your body!
🚫 Myth #2: Deep Tissue Massages Have to Hurt to Be Effective: Not true! While deep tissue massages may involve deeper pressure than other techniques, they should never be painful. A skilled massage therapist knows how to adjust the pressure to your comfort level while still effectively targeting those stubborn knots and tension areas.
🚫 Myth #3: You Shouldn't Get a Massage When You're Sick: Actually, getting a massage can sometimes help alleviate symptoms of illness! Of course, if you're contagious or running a fever, it's best to reschedule your appointment to avoid spreading germs. But for minor ailments like congestion or muscle aches, a gentle massage can provide soothing relief.
🚫 Myth #4: You Need to Drink Lots of Water After a Massage to Flush Out Toxins: While staying hydrated is always a good idea, there's no need to chug gallons of water after a massage to "flush out toxins." The benefits of massage come from improved circulation and relaxation, not from releasing toxins. So feel free to sip water at your own pace and listen to your body's thirst cues.
🎉 The Real April Fools' Joke?: Believing these massage myths! 😉 Remember, when it comes to massage therapy, it's essential to separate fact from fiction. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask your friendly neighborhood massage therapist (that's me!) for clarification.
Let's keep the laughs rolling this April Fools' Day! Have you fallen for any massage myths in the past? Share your stories in the comments below! 🤣

TLDR: We go to the recovery house tomorrow for minimum of 4 weeks, Gabriel House. He’s doing great. Kidney is well. It’s starting to work. We’re seeing how this evening and tomorrow morning goes before we get a definite discharge confirmation.
I know I got quiet but whew… it was kind of like when you’re on a rollercoaster going tick..tick..tick as you’re going up the first big hill really slow and you see some of what awaits you but you really don’t know but you know it’s about to hit you full blast and you’re in the front seat… post surgery first hours was like reaching the top and then everything after that was a 90 degree drop into some twists, turns and we are finally level again (for now).
So, now that we’re catching our breaths for a moment, let me catch everyone up.
I don’t remember when I left off so I’ll do a recap (this is also so I remember later too).
Monday - Wednesday was tough physically and emotionally. Pain, exhaustion, medication side effects, over stimulation, … a lot snowballed and emotions ran high but no rest because we were hit with a constant flow of people stopping by to check on him or do education with us (nutrition, diabetes, multiple social workers, the surgical team, the post surgical team, techs doing vitals, pharmacists, etc etc). I’ll never forget Dr. Watty (spelling?), and his big booming voice and patience of gold. When we felt like things were a mess, he kept us on track. I was seriously considering needing mental health support for those days. A huge thank you to my mom Denise Epperson for stepping in and acting like my therapist, taking my calls when I was having many mini melt downs. I don’t know how I would have got through it without her to lean on. All we could do was sit in a limbo waiting to see if his kidney was accepted and started working and it took its sweet time to “wake up” to the point we could tell there was some concern for a moment.
Thursday, things started looking a little better. We started getting a handle on things. He went to dialysis since the kidney wasn’t quite doing its housekeeping duties just yet even though an ultrasound showed it was doing well and its output was good. He was able to get up and move around really well and with that, it helped a lot.
Today, we had a big upswing. Output increased a lot. Post dialysis numbers stabilized so the kidney did some work to not let them go right back up. All the doctors were happy with what they were seeing. We started getting to make plans to leave.
Also, a water leak started in our room’s bathroom ceiling so we had to move rooms. We lost our pond view but it’s hopefully our last night. Tomorrow we’ll go to the Gabriel House where we’ll enter the next phase of getting use to doing care for ourselves and the multitude of appointments to go to back and forth.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this tough time, emotionally, financially and otherwise. I don’t know how we would have got through this without you. We’re not at the finish line just yet so I don’t want to start celebrating too early, but we’re at a point that we’re doing okay. 🙏🏻

🤩Featured Service Friday: Abdominal Massage🤩
This week's post is 2 parts. 1) Answer to a common question about massage and fat loss and 2) A spotlight on abdominal massage.
I'm often asked questions like "Does massage help lose weight?" or "Will Massage Help Lose Belly Fat?" (Arm fat or cellulite are also common)
While massage therapy offers numerous benefits for your overall well-being, it's important to understand that it doesn't directly lead to fat loss in specific areas of the body, including the belly. Fat loss primarily occurs through a combination of balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and lifestyle changes. However, massage therapy can still play a supportive role in your health journey, especially concerning the abdomen.
🎇Benefits of Abdominal Massage:🎇
🟢Reduced Water Retention: Massage techniques applied to the abdomen can stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the drainage of excess fluids, reducing water retention and temporary bloating. This may lead to a slimmer appearance in the abdominal region.
🟢Improved Digestion: Abdominal massage can help relax the muscles of the digestive tract, potentially easing symptoms of bloating, gas, and constipation. Improved digestion can contribute to a flatter, more comfortable belly.
🟢Enhanced Circulation: Massage increases blood flow to the targeted area, which can aid in the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to tissues while facilitating the removal of metabolic waste products. Improved circulation can support overall tissue health and function.
🟢Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Stress is linked to weight gain, particularly around the abdomen due to increased cortisol levels. Massage therapy induces relaxation and reduces stress, potentially mitigating the physiological factors associated with abdominal fat accumulation.
🟢Postural Improvement: Certain massage techniques can address muscle tension and imbalances in the abdomen and surrounding areas, which may contribute to improved posture. Better posture can create the illusion of a flatter stomach and also support core strength and stability.
Conclusion:
While massage therapy won't directly melt away belly fat, its holistic benefits can complement your efforts towards a healthier lifestyle. By incorporating abdominal massage into your wellness routine, you may experience reduced bloating, improved digestion, enhanced circulation, stress relief, and postural improvements—all of which can contribute to a healthier and more comfortable abdomen. Remember to combine massage therapy with other healthy habits, including proper nutrition and regular exercise, for optimal results in achieving your wellness goals.

Cultivating gratitude for these simple pleasures can bring immense joy and fulfillment.

💆🏻♀️Featured Service Friday💆🏻♂️
Full Body Dry Brushing ($30, Can be added on to any service or on its own)
Dry brushing is a spa technique involving the use of a natural-bristle brush on the skin's surface. This exfoliating method is performed on dry skin before showering, aiming to stimulate circulation, remove dead skin cells, and promote a healthy glow. The gentle strokes are typically directed towards the heart, contributing to improved lymphatic drainage and overall skin texture.
I also offer packages that include dry brushing and a body mask for moisturizing and optional massage.
I will be closed Friday and Saturday (March 22nd & 23rd) due to a loss in the family. My husband’s brother passed suddenly on Tuesday and we’ll be going up to Alabama to be with family for a couple of days. I plan on being back in office on Monday granted the trip isn’t too exhausting. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers (however you believe). He can definitely use it.
I will try to still be reachable if you need me, but no promises, but if you leave me a message, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thank you for understanding. 🩷
