Players Guild of Dearborn
Welcome to the 97th Season of the Players Guild of Dearborn! http://www.playersguildofdearborn Many of the patrons have been coming to productions for decades.
After more than 90 years in Dearborn, the Guild has become a fixture in the community. We have over 50 Honorary Members who have been with us for at least 25 consecutive years. A few of these folks have been active in the Guild for more than forty years. Some of them remember when actors such as George Peppard (Breakfast at Tiffanyβs and TVβs Banacek and The A-Team), Chad Everett (TVβs Medical Cen
Thank you to our 9 incredible audiences who shared in "The Philadelphia Story" with us!
We hope you all enjoyed the shenanigans the Lord family got themselves into and out of as much as we enjoyed performing it for you!
Don't miss our next production, coming in November -- "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical!" Ticket link in the comments!
In one hour we will close the first show of our 2024-2025 season -- which means you still have time to get to the Guild for our final performance of "The Philadelphia Story!"
It's your last chance to see who Tracy Lord ends up with! Her ex-husband Dexter, her fiancΓ© George, or reporter Mike!
Several tickets remain at the door! See you at 2:30 PM!

We're wrapping our meet the cast series with two actors who have graced the Guild stage for almost 20 years together, Kori Bielaniec and Alex Gojkov!
Much like their counterparts Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant, Kori and Alex count "The Philadelphia Story" as one of many collaborations! All the way back in 2007, they both appeared in "Inspecting Carol," and were last seen together on stage in the fourth iteration of "Murder Comes to Uptight Abbey" in 2021! Shows in between include "Pass the Ducks," "Is He Dead?", "The Wizard of Oz," "Rumors," "Boeing Boeing," "Fools," and "Is This Seat Taken?"
You only have two more chances to catch them as Tracy and Dexter -- tonight at 8 PM and tomorrow at 2:30 PM! Here's to another 20 years of them sparring on our stage! Ticket link here: www.playersguildofdearborn.org/tickets/

We are SO pleased to introduce you to Santi Ramirez, who is brand new to the Guild stage, and is playing George Kittredge!
Santi may be new to us, but he has performed with other theaters in the area! We are hoping this will only be the first of many terrific turns on our stage!
Don't miss his turn as Tracy Lord's fiancΓ© (but will he still be by the end of the show?!) when "The Philadelphia Story" returns tonight at 8 PM! Only 3 performances left! Ticket link here: www.playersguildofdearborn.org/tickets/

Next up in our meet the cast series is the mother of all mothers, Julie Ballantyne Brown as Margaret Lord!
If you've seen a show on the Guild stage, there is a good chance you've seen Julie, because she can do it all! She joined us all the way back in 2012 for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and has been a staple of our community since. She's served as Hair&Makeup Governor and Treasurer, and is always on the H&M Committee, even when she's NOT the Governor!
From Joseph and "Arsenic & Old Lace," right up to last season's "Our Town," we're lucky to have Julie grace our stage, and we hope you'll come see her this weekend before "The Philadelphia Story" closes!

She's the best little sister in town!
Lily Tack steals the show in her first straight show as Dinah Lord, the wily, sassy, and always hilarious younger sister of Tracy Lord! You'll get a kick out of seeing what she gets up to when "The Philadelphia Story" returns for one final weekend!
Lily has been behind the scenes for multiple shows, but we first loved to hate her as THE Heather Chandler in "Heathers: Teen Edition!" She also danced beautifully as a Hot Box Girl in "Guys and Dolls," and was Sleeping Beauty in last springs "Into the Woods!" We love our Lily!
Don't miss Lily and the rest of this incredible cast -- 3 performances left, get tickets here: www.playersguildofdearborn.org/tickets/

The Players Guild of Dearborn is truly grateful to the Michigan Arts and Culture Council for awarding us two incredible grants!
π
The Guild has been awarded $17,500 for Operational Support and $15,000 for Facility Improvements, and we cannot wait to put those grants to good use!
π
Thank you to our incredible members who worked tirelessly on the grant proposals and made this happen!
Up next in our meet the cast series is David Culliton, playing the role of Mike Connor. Mike is witty, sarcastic, and wants nothing to do with the machinations of the upper class...or does he?
David first joined the Guild in the summer of 2018 as the director of "Lion King, Jr," and is currently serving as our Publicity & Marketing Governor! You may have seen him on our stage as the Gentleman Caller in one glorious weekend of "The Glass Menagerie" in March 2020, as Black Stache in "Peter and the Starcatcher," or as Phaedra, a Cagelle, in "La Cage Aux Folles!"
Come see what trouble Mike gets himself into when "The Philadelphia Story," returns to the Guild stage for one final weekend! Tickets available here: www.playersguildofdearborn.org/tickets/

Let's start with our wise-cracking undercover photographer Liz Imbrie, played by Casey Murray!
Casey joined us in the spring to expertly play one of the wicked stepsisters in "Into the Woods," and she just was cast in "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical," last week!
Audiences have been loving her one-liners and facial expressions over the last two weekends, so don't miss your chance to see her -- and make sure you also grab your tickets to see "Beautiful" in November: www.playersguildofdearborn.org/tickets/

Sisters, sisters, never were there such devoted sisters!

Oh, and don't forget wildcard Mike Connor, the undercover journalist who wants to write all about the girls' philandering father Seth! Neither sister ever saw him coming!

Tracy Lord certainly has her hands full with these three!
