Our job is to enhance your whole pregnancy experience, to be guides for you along the way on how to improve sleep, digestion, nervous system adaptability, baby’s positioning, postpartum recovery, and to be a resource to YOU throughout your pregnancy.

Our job is to listen, help you advocate, and help you learn how your body is changing.

Please schedule your appointments ahead of time as the week following the 4th will likely be very busy!

Does anyone else feel like summer just came out of nowhere? As we gear up for our summertime adventures we wanted to share some of our favorites to have on stock!

Electrolytes- You all know how much we preach the importance of electrolytes year round. It is even more important during summer to battle that heat to stay hydrated.

Sunscreen- Did you know unfiltered sun exposure is important for proper Vitamin D synthesis. It is usually recommended to do this first thing in the morning or early evening, when UV levels are low. During those midday adventures when UV is high, we must protect our skin from burns. We recommend using a mineral sunscreen, rather than a chemical one.

After sun/pool care- Even with proper sun protection, using an after sun cream can help moisturize the skin, support repair from sunburn, and provide comfort. Using a pool spray helps neutralize chlorine to protect skin and hair.

Bug spray- Keep those pesky bugs away while you enjoy your outdoor activities! We love using natural, essential oil insect repellents.

This is me giving myself permission to not feel guilty about not “showing up” on my business page consistently and being okay with setting boundaries for myself!

I love you all, I love chiropractic, I love how abundant life has been lately but in all of that I’m finding myself spending any free time I have going inward and nurturing my own self so I can best nurture and serve you!

If you’re like us you need plenty of advance notice to declutter and go through old clothes!

We are so excited to host our first kids clothing swap! Please bring in gently used clothes without stains or holes that are clean and washed. We will provide bins to sort clothing by size. We will also provide coffee, tea, and light refreshments!

Clothing drop-off and sorting will start at 8:45, we will start “shopping” for new clothes at 9 🫶🏼

Nothing I love more then when my “mini” chiros in training help me with an adjustment!

In case you were wondering we do see men at Nurturing Nest! Almost all of them are dads or brothers of our mamas and babies we see but guess what? Men need chiropractic too!!

We will be offering 4 spots for mom and baby duos Feb 27th 9-1pm and March 15th 12-4pm!

A peek into a newborn home visit!

If you see Dr. Taylor during your pregnancy, she’ll come do your first postpartum and newborn visit at home ♥️

Things you can except at your newborn home visit:

✨Exam and assessment of primitive reflexes

✨assessment of joint range of motion, especially shoulders, neck, sacrum, and hips. We see decreases in ROM the most after birth in these areas

✨latch assessment

✨cranial and facial bone assessment

✨the time and space to talk about and process your birth together

✨lastly the newborn adjustment and potential recommendations to improve any of the above!

A little boy asked me during an appointment recently if I lived here, meaning at the office. Honestly it was the biggest compliment.

At Nurturing Nest we have worked hard to create an environment and atmosphere that feels like home. From the scents we choose to diffuse to the diaper changing supplies stocked in the bathroom. A place you can kick your shoes off, feel safe bringing your littles, and just BE.

With Thanksgiving around the corner I thought this would be a great time to talk about keeping our nervous systems in check this holiday season 🦃🎄

1. **Mindful Breathing:** Take a few moments each day to focus on deep, intentional breathing. Set an alarm on your phone to take 10 deep breaths a couple of times a day.

2. **Stay Active:** Even a short walk or some light stretching can help release tension and boost your mood.

3. **Prioritize Sleep:** Make sure to get enough rest. Establish a soothing bedtime routine to ensure quality sleep during this busy time.

4. **Limit Caffeine and Alcohol:** Both can affect your nervous system, and can throw off your sleep so moderate your intake to maintain balance.

5. **Get Adjusted:** Adjustments help regulate the nervous system, boost immune function, and decrease aches and pains!

Remember, self-care is key to a joyful and stress-free holiday season. 🌟

Did you know we start doing Webster technique on our pregnant mamas as soon as they tell us they are pregnant? Sometimes we even do it in preparation for pregnancy!

A common misconception is that Webster technique is only meant for women with breech positioned babies or later on in pregnancy BUT, Webster technique can be extremely help throughout your entire pregnancy!!

Here’s what Webster technique can help with:

•optimal pelvic alignment
•decreased discomfort
•improved baby positioning
•nervous system regulation
•improving natural birth outcomes and decreased interventions

Did you know for the first 4-6 months babies don’t have the awareness they are no longer connected to their mothers?

This means what you are feeling your baby is feeling and vise versa. We see lots of mamas prioritizing their little ones before themselves but we believe it is just as important if not more that you as their mom are prioritizing yourself!!

You simply can not pour from an empty cup and your nervous systems are intertwined!
