Patriot Ranch
Empowering and equipping veterans through adventure, counsel and the powerful healing of equine assisted therapy.
Today we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the people of our great country. Rest Easy!
The green grass has grown in thick, the trees have their leaves, bright red paintbrushes are blooming in the fields and Patriot Ranch has been hard at work as spring has hit the land.
Over the past several weeks we have had the land surveyed, drawn up and dreamed up plans of adding electricity to some existing buildings on the property, carved out horseback riding trails and worked the land for better use in the future!
There’s exciting times on the horizon because now we can start fundraising!!!! The stepping stones for this dream are leading the way to a bright future for the ranch. Be looking out for more news in the days ahead and hit your knees as we pray and prepare to start raising funds and raising barns.
We thank you for your service, honor your sacrifice and value your life. 🦅

We know the horrors of war.
Today we lift up our service men and women, the leadership of each country and the people of Ukraine to our Heavenly Father.
Our heart aches for those experiencing the terror and trauma of war time.
Patriot Ranch experienced some significant storms last night and it got me thinking about the story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee.
This story is told in Mark 4:35-41, Matthew 8:23-27, and Luke 8: 22-25.
An exhausted Jesus is sleeping in a fishing boat crossing the Sea of Galilee at night. A furious storm comes up and nearly swamps the boat. The disciples awaken Jesus by saying, “Lord save us! We are perishing!” His reply was to get up, “rebuke” the wind and waves with the command “Peace! Be still!”- and it was so.
Peace. Be Still.
Complete calm descended on the lake. He then turns to the disciples and “rebukes” them as well; “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (They had seen numerous miracles of healing sicknesses, demon possessions, and diseases by now.)
Jesus expected them to have more faith by this time in his ministry. But they didn’t yet appreciate who he really was. Even though they called out to him as “Lord”, they doubted.
(I can think of times in my life when I’ve acted like the disciples…. How about you?)
The calming of the storm terrified and amazed them. They whispered to each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
Jesus provided the miracle of granting peace in the storm to show the disciples the power he possessed as the Son of God. He was Lord over all that He had created. The disciples would need this lesson of Jesus’ strength and power as they move towards the storms that lay ahead of them…
Where am I putting my faith- in the storms that would batter and bruise me or in Jesus who is Lord over all creation?
What lesson is Jesus trying to teach me in my present storm?
The storms of your past, the lack of peace brought on by the terrors of war...let Jesus bring peace into those storms.
A soldier with PTSD fell into a hole and couldn’t get out. When a SNCO walked by the Soldier called out for help, but the SNCO yelled back, "Suck it up son, dig deep and drive on," then threw him a shovel. The Soldier did as he was told and dug that hole deeper.
A Senior Officer went by and the Soldier called out for help again. The Officer told him "use the tools your SNCO has given you", then threw him a bucket. The Soldier used the tools and he dug the hole deeper still and filled the bucket.
A psychiatrist walked by. The Soldier called, “Help! I can’t get out!” so the psychiatrist gave him some drugs and said, "Take this. It will relieve the pain and you will forget about the hole.” The Soldier said "thanks" and followed his advice, but when the pills ran out he was still in the hole.
A well-known psychologist rode by and heard the Soldiers cries for help. He stopped and asked, “How did you get there? Were you born there? Did your parents put you there? Tell me about yourself, it will alleviate your sense of loneliness.” So the Soldier talked with him for an hour, then the psychologist had to leave, but he said he’d be back next week. The Soldier thanked him, but he was still in the hole.
Another Soldier , just like him, happened to be passing by. The Soldier with PTSD cried out, “Hey, help me. I’m stuck in this hole!” and right away the other Soldier jumped down in there with him. The Soldier with PTSD started to panic and said, “What are you doing? Now we’re both stuck down here!” But the other Soldier just smiled and replied, “It’s okay, calm down, brother. I’ve been here before..... I know how to get out.”
No matter what you're going through, you are never alone.
But don't be too proud to SHOUT OUT!, 'HELP I'm stuck in this Hole' …...
We all get stuck in a hole from time to time but all it takes is to ask your mates for help and we will be there even if we have to jump in that hole with you.

They shared a our passion for helping Veterans struggling with trauma, struggling to integrate into civilian life and giving them hope for a peaceful future after combat. What a day.
His goodness and mercy never cease to amaze.
Patriot Ranch is growing by 120 acres! Our President walked the grounds of the future barn and arena, dreamed big dreams of campsites around the Trinity River, watched a Bald Eagle fly overhead and held the hands of the future generations of Gods servants. It sounds made up. Sounds too good to be true but it’s as real as the sun in the sky. We are overjoyed. His blessings are many! Such exciting times ahead.
