Chef chronicles: When you are a chef, hungry and can’t figure out what to eat:

I was outside working in the yard all day yesterday. I felt like a big ball of pollen. Of course it’s Saturday and nobody else in the house wants to cook. I was too sore and tired to leave the house and go pickup some take out. Then I remembered that I had some chicken in marinade from the night before (a few pieces that I held back) in the fridge. Tired and VERY hungry, I got those babies out, fried them up and decided to make my version of Popeyes Sweet & Spicy wings (those wings are good).
I made a quick sweet & spicy chili sauce and got me some of my homemade ranch dressing that I made on Thursday and pour some up on the side for dipping. Baaabyyy, those wings were so delicious!! Of course James and Danielle asked can I make some more one night this week for dinner. lol!! 😋

Good Afternoon FBF. I got in the kitchen and played around with some food the other day. This is the end result:
Salmon Wrapped Stuffed Shrimp (they were soooo delicious) and
Garlic Butter Seafood Boil minus potatoes and sausage: I don’t like that stuff in my boil. Both were delicious 👩🏾‍🍳😋👇🏽

I was working yesterday so I didn’t get a chance to post. ITS LIBRA SEASON!!! YASSS!!! I’m accepting gifts all month long in honor of my UPCOMING 49th birthday. OCTOBER 13TH!!

So I did NOT make the cut to make it to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Favorite Chef Competition . Five rounds isn’t bad though for this phenomenal African American female raised in Decatur, GA. 😁
I’d like to take a moment to send out a special thank you to those who voted daily free votes for me, those who shared my posts and last but certainly not least, those who put their money where their mouth is in support of me and my goal of winning this competition. I know who you are (the officials sent me the info). I will NEVER forget your financial support. My family, friends and customers who believe in my gift.
I may have came up short and lost this competition but my journey isn’t over. I’ve been in the Culinary Arts industry 20+ years and I’ve been cooking since the age of six. I have so many stories that I could share about my experiences in this industry. However, I will table that for another time.
What I do know for sure is whatever is for me, it is for me and nobody and nothing can take it away.
