Meet Meet Nicholas Crosswhite, grandson of
Kenneth & Jennifer Duncan Nicolas. His parents are Perry and Shamae Crosswhite.

Nicolas will be graduating from New Manchester High School in Douglasvill, GA. and attending the University of Florida on a Full Track and Field Scholarship. He will start his collegiate career this June with plans to study Kinesiology.

He is a Hope Scholar recipient & has maintained the honor roll throughout Highschool. He is a member of Avid and Captains Club.

He has been on the Varsity Track team all four years, competing in Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, and 110 Hurdles. He is a two time 2023 Georgia State Champion in Triple Jump and Long Jump. He is also 2023 Adidas All American National Champion in Triple Jump and 2022 USATF National Champion in Triple Jump.

Meet Zawadi Ahser, grandson to Mrs. Dottie Asher. Zawadi’s post graduation plans are to attend Kennesaw State University for a year and then later transfer to Georgia Institue of Technology to further pursue studies in software engineering.

On this past week 117 years ago, Anna Ellison Butler Alexander was set aside as a Deaconess in a liturgy at Good Shepherd in Thomasville,Ga.

Born on St. Simons Island in 1865, Anna Alexander became the only African American set aside in the order of deaconess in the Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church recognized her for her holiness of life and was added to Lesser Feasts and Fasts. The 2023 diocesan convention named her the Patron Saint of the Diocese of Georgia(Savannah).

THE NURSERY IS BACK:
Trained parish volunteers will be available for Ages 6 months to 5 years old.

Today the Annual Holy Cross Fish Fry, is from 12 pm - 7 pm. The cost is $20 per plate.
