Oh, little Dutch door, how we love you. 🚪💚

Such a pretty and functional way to enter the house. Keep it closed to use like a normal door, or open the top for a breeze while keeping kids and pets corralled inside.

Bonus: this door has an automated keypad for entry . No more forgetting the keys! So great for kids coming home from school etc.

Same table, new kitchen. What a difference the right flooring makes!

The checkerboard pattern is a classic, but in high-contrast black and white and a small scale makes this kitchen feel busy and small.

We kept a similar pattern, but used a softer, more natural palette of gray and cream stone-look porcelain on a larger scale tile, and rotated it 45 degrees to create a diamond pattern.

The table base was painted a soft putty color to match the perimeter cabinets.

The more open brass light fixture completes the transformation with a delicate, classic feel.

Removal of the curtain rod makes the room feel taller.

Sometimes, less is more! 🤍☁️✨

I’d you live in an urban area, you know what a rare treasure a garage can be, and this one is certainly a gem! 💎

Paint colors ( Gale Force & Pearly White), painted shake siding dentil trim match the house and bring the vintage charm, along with the tiny attic window! 💙🤍 🪟

Carriage-style garage doors bring dimension to the facade and light to the interior.

Satin brass sconces finish the look like jewelery and create a lighted path in the evenings. ✨

Embrace the warmth of home in every corner. This sunroom sanctuary, complete with a cozy fireplace, built-in bookshelves, and inviting reading nooks, is where comfort meets design perfection 🌞✨

A testament to the power of fresh design - the only changes here were color, lighting and accessories. No renovation here. 🌸

In lieu of existing earthy neutrals, the walls were painted a rich navy blue, with accents of crisp white trim and a grassy green door that pops! ( Gale Force, Pearly White and Dill 🥒)

Outdoor sconces were swapped out for a new lantern style that is scaled better for the space, in a satin brass that pops off the new wall color 💡

We added a charming door mat, a couple of textural planters with blooming hydrangeas, et voila! A a brand new entry! (And removed a few… haunting… decorations 😂 )

A dark charcoal plaster finish on the floor-to ceiling fireplace creates a high-contrast focal point. 🖤

Higher ceilings in this space create a grand, dramatic feeling. ☁️

An abundance of tall windows with transoms let in ALL the natural light 🪟

Oversized oxidized (say that 3 times fast) metal pendant lights act like statement earrings over the sleek, expandable dining room table. ✨

Just a barrel vault appreciation post 🤍

This arched, tiled shower ceiling brings so much character and charm to this bathroom. Combined with the black penny tile border on the shower floor, it brings such a classic vibe to a brand new bathroom. We are obsessed.

We just love an eat-in kitchen, and this one js a particular favorite, peak casual elegance. ✨

The oak wood table is perfect for relaxed family dining, homework, or game night.

This one leads to a small patio for grilling and enjoying this gorgeous spring weather.

The rattan pendant ties into the woods and dark tones in the space while still being airy and not impeding natural light or views.

The adjacent cabinets conceal an ice maker, beverage refrigerator, extra trash bin, and hardware, making this the ideal space for entertaining, the true heart of the home! ♥️

Before & After ✨
This kitchen is a testament to what a difference color and materials make! The layout remained roughly the same, but it looks like a completely different space.
We raised the ceiling, concealing structural elements in wood-clad beams, and swapped upper cabinets for open shelving and sparkling zellige tile to the ceiling. Both of these elements provide much needed light and openness to the kitchen, even with all cabinets in a rich off-black color.
Brass hardware, quartzite hood and countertops and glass pendant lights also bounce light around the room.
