Eric has been an integral part of the ATL wine scene since his days at The Chastain, and now as a member of RNDC's Fine Wine team. His passion for wine led him to achieve his Sommelier certification in 2022, and 1st place with honors in the 2023 Jeunes Sommeliers Competition.

Tonight's tasting offers a rare chance to meet the winemaker behind the biodynamically delicious right-bank Bordeaux wines of Château Peybonhomme. Guillaume Hubert makes wine alongside his sister, Rachel, in a low-to-no intervention style working without chemicals and instead utilizing natural inputs such as copper and organic compost. The result is terroir-driven, complex wines that challenge the boundaries of Bordeaux's classic style. Guillaume is debuting some stellar new wines and we're excited to welcome him to the shop!

Château Peybonhomme is located on Bordeaux’s right bank of the Gironde, near Blaye. This organic/biodynamic vineyard is said to be on the best limestone and clay soils of the region. Guillaume, a nature lover with a passion for flora and fauna, joined the family business in 2007 after completing environmental and ecological studies. Having qualified as a pharmacist, his sister Rachel chose to join her brother in 2012 and together take up a new challenge, primarily based on producing high-quality natural wines.

It's Charles' first Thursday Night Sips tasting with us! Charles is one of the smiling faces of Hemispheres, a local wine distribution company with an extensive portfolio of thoughtfully selected producers. Nick brings 20+ years of wine industry expertise and is excited to guide us through a selection of wines from the Iberian Peninsula. Wines from the Peninsula pack a punch for their value and make a great addition to any occasion. We can't wait to check out the lineup and learn more about the history and winemaking practices of this diverse and iconic wine region.

Nicolas Quinones is the Southeast Market Manager for Olé & Obrigado an importer of artisanal wines from the Iberian Peninsula. He joined the team in January 2019 after spending 20 years writing wine lists and managing dining rooms in some of Atlanta's most beloved restaurants like Woodfire Grill and Cooks and Soldiers. He is a Certified Sommelier and has traveled extensively through wine country in Spain, Portugal, Italy, California, Oregon, Chile and Argentina.

We'll kick things off with a silky Pinot Bianco, then move to a zesty skin contact Chenin Blanc/Pinot Gris, followed by a Sangiovese, then a Nebbiolo/Barbera blend out of Cali (Cal-Italia movement anyone?), and then we'll top things off with a gorgeous French Cab Franc out of the Loire.
