It’s back to school for my College Blondes📚👩🏼‍🏫
Some of my clients like to go for more of a lived in look for when they go back to school, due to a time lapse in their appointments while they are away. Others, like to stick to their consistent customized Bright Blonde look, like this client here. It definitely suits her and looks amazing!

Three hacks to maintain your Blonde after your appointment

1.) Don’t wash your hair for 24 hours after a color service. The hair has been freshly lightened and toned/glossed, Letting it sit for at least 24 hours before you wash will help give you longevity out of the toner/gloss.

2.) Use professional grade shampoos and conditioners to maintain the health of your hair. Highlighted clients require a bit more moisture in their products. Make sure you are using products that protect your investment.

3.) Use a heat protectant ALWAYS! Using heat without heat protectant can let your color fade, your blonde yellow, and also expose your hair to heat damage as well as breakage.

In addition, achieving the perfect shade of blonde can be tricky. Dark hair tends to pull warm tones when bleached, so it can be challenging to achieve a cool, ash blonde color. It always requires toning and proper at home care with professional products.

Overall, taking a dark haired client blonde is a challenging task that requires skill, experience, and a lot of care. It’s important to work with a knowledgeable stylist who can guide you through the process and help you achieve the blonde hair of your dreams.

Three ways you could be damaging your hair….

1. You Overheat it with styling tools: Excessive heat can cause damage to your hair, leading to breakage and dryness. Try to limit the use of hot tools such as flat irons, curling irons, and hair dryers, and always use a heat protectant spray before styling.

2.) You’re over washing your hair: Washing your hair too frequently can strip it of its natural oils, leading to dryness and damage. It is best to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, or as needed based on your hair type and lifestyle. Over washing can also be harmful to your hair color.

3. You Brush or comb your hair to hard when it’s wet: Wet hair is more fragile and prone to breakage, so it’s best to avoid harsh brushing or combing it when it’s damp. Instead, use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush to gently work out any knots or tangles, and always be gentle when handling wet hair to prevent damage. A light leave-in detangling spray can be a huge help.

3. Gentle Hair Care: Use sulfate-free shampoos, avoid heat styling tools, and if you have to use them, make sure you use a heat protectant.

It’s so crazy that it has been 365 days since I went all in on starting my own company with nothing more than a dream to do things my own way. I can honestly say it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. I want to thank my amazing clients for your business and for joining me on this journey.
