We love being in the heart of Dedham, in historic and charming Dedham Square, but being part of the buzz means some extra chaos at times!

Please read the following if you plan to visit Essential and Dedham Square in the coming months:

Beginning 4/16/24 a well publicized trial will begin at the Norfolk Superior Court, around the corner from Essential. Per the Dedham Police Department let us know the following information and that due to circumstances surrounding this trial:

➡️There will be a 200 foot buffer zone around the court which prohibits certain activity associated with the trial within the buffer zone.
➡️There is likely to be a contingent of demonstrators around the Square during the trial, as there has been for related court dates so far.
➡️During the trial, Norfolk St behind the Superior Court will be closed to traffic.
➡️The trial could last a couple of months.

So, what does this mean for me?
Please drive carefully and give yourself extra time to travel to Essential in the coming months as there may be slow traffic, demonstrators, media, and extra pedestrians in the area. Parking should be fine but may be limited at times, so plan to grab what street spots you can or use the lot at High and Eastern Ave or the street level garage between our building and Blue Ribbon BBQ.
