- We are so sad to announce one of our stylists is moving and we are looking to fill her chair; don’t worry, she’ll tell you all about it! ❤️ So that means the Refuge team is looking for an experienced licensed Cosmetologist or Barber to join our team. Our salon does financially operate as booth rent, yet mentally we are a family. We do ask that you have a minimum of 2-3 years working behind the chair with some clientele but have room to grow with us. We are looking to fill our empty chair, giving someone a salon they can call home. Please send your resumes and links to your digital professional portfolio (ie. Brittany has been in the industry for 15 years! Talk about talent 🫶 She is a licensed Cosmetologist and Esthetician. Brittany previously owned her own salon, Studio 116, and has since made the brave decision to merge with Refuge. She will be offering services such as Haircuts, Conditioning Treatments, and Facial Waxing. Not only are we welcoming Brittany, we want to welcome her clients and their families into our Refuge space ❤️ We are encouraging all of you who spend time in the salon to get to know Brittany and the services she is knowledgeable about. We will now be expanding our retail shelves to include products that will not only benefit your hair, but skin as well. Happy Monday!

You ever just wake up with the blahs? I have been under the weather all week. I haven't been able to work and didn't accomplish all I wanted to this week. Leaving me waking up to the blues...
Woke up to a very low vibration of energy. Not sure why, just came over me, and can't explain it.

So instead of focusing on this feeling, trying to get to the root of the reasons why. I decided to just change my mind. I started reading my daily inspiration, scrolled through my favorite quotes and this one resonated the most to me this morning.

I had to set a new intention for my day and I had to make a decision to change my thoughts and speak positive words to my negative thoughts and feelings and replace them with gratitude and love.

I'm feeling much better, and wanted to share this quote to help someone that may have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Think, feel and act your way to a better day!
