Innovative veterinary products like 2.5 iPAAG Hydrogels are transforming patient outcomes. However, in doing so, they present a different set of challenges.
In the realm of joint injections, ArthramidVet and how research has proven it to be most effective, is resulting in a paradigm shift in how veterinarians, trainers, and owners approach treating joints.
Dr. Jason Lowe understands the challenge of aligning owner expectations with ArthramidVet's response time. While traditional joint injections offer immediate relief, ArthramidVet's benefits unfold over two to six weeks. This shift requires trainers and owners to adjust their expectations around the rehab and response time to ensure a sustained, long-lasting effect and an overall healthier joint.
Speak to your veterinarian about treating early in the disease process to keep your horse sound, and performing at their best for longer.
The cost of managing osteoarthritis and joint lameness can really add up over time and can be extremely frustrating for the owner who wants to see their horse sound and happy.
ArthramidVet works in even the most frustrating of cases by restoring function and movement to the joint by acting as a โbio-scaffoldโ that bonds with the injured tissue, strengthening the joint and restoring the freedom of movement.

Struggling with your horse going lame mid-competition season or stuck in the repetitive cycle of lameness?
Traditional joint therapies often provide fast-acting but temporary relief, leaving owners and veterinarians once again searching for solutions mere weeks or months later.
ArthramidVet is changing the way veterinarians and owners approach and treat joint lameness, proving to be a game-changer for horses with mild to chronic joint issues.
Unlike conventional treatments, ArthramidVet doesn't just mask the symptomsโit integrates into the joint capsule, offering a longer-lasting solution. This means fewer rounds of treatments and less reliance on corticosteroids or hyaluronic acid.
Top veterinarians globally are advocating for a proactive approach, in which veterinarians and owners use ArthramidVet as a preventative measure and treat early in the disease process. Due to the product's regenerative mode of action, treating early in the disease process means we can reduce suffering, strengthen the joint, enhance safety for both horse and rider, and minimize disruptions to training schedules.

What makes ArthramidVet such a potent addition to a veterinarian's joint treatment arsenal?
ArthramidVetโs iPAAG technology is founded on patented hydrogels, comprising 97.5% sterilized water and 2.5% cross-linking polyacrylamide, offering a safe, effective, and cutting-edge solution for equine joint care.
Once injected, the homogeneous, biocompatible, viscoelastic hydrogel maintains its volume by continually exchanging water with the surrounding host tissues. It is permeable to salts and organic molecules, allowing cells to integrate through the gel after injection.
Here's what distinguishes ArthramidVet's iPAAG:
1. Biocompatibility: Serving as a scaffold, ArthramidVet seamlessly integrates into the synovial membrane, disrupting the inflammatory cycle.
2. Viscoelasticity: With cross-linking chains of polymer, our hydrogel provides flexible shear, ensuring optimal joint support.
3. Non-Degradable: Experience the exceptional structural stability of our 2.5 iPAAG hydrogel, ensuring longevity of action and sustained efficacy.

Is ArthramidVet right for your horse?
Osteoarthritis can develop in horses of any age, breed, or discipline, and managing the disease can be challenging.
ArthramidVet is best used in any synovial joint showing signs of dysfunction, such as pain, effusion (fluid), reaction to flexion, or visible lameness.
Treating multiple joints at once is safe, and arthritic conditions, whether recent (acute) or longer-term (chronic), are suitable.
Ideal candidates for ArthramidVet are those where a veterinary assessment has localized the pain or inflammation to the joint and arthritis has been confirmed. The most commonly treated joints include coffins, fetlocks, carpus (knees), hocks, and stifles. Success has also been reported in other synovial structures.
Talk to your vet if you think ArthramidVet might be right for your horse or find out more on our website: https://arthramid.com
Dr Jason Lowe recently joined Dr Lisa Fortier and Dr Sarah Wright on the Veterinary Vertex podcast to discuss his research paper recently published in JAVMA - Histologic and cytologic changes in normal equine joints after injection with 2.5 iPAAG hydrogel reveal low-level macrophage-driven foreign body response.
From it came a number of interesting insights, including the paradigm shift we are seeing in the way veterinarians, owners and trainers are approaching joint injections and the difference it is making in the longevity and effectiveness of the treatment.
