If you’ve visited our website lately, www.1440Creations.com, you’ve probably noticed some weird changes.

We unfortunately had to transfer our domain ownership due to Google Domains selling to Squarespace. Somewhere in that transfer our existing website and content was taken down.

On the bright side, the new site will be better than ever, with some exciting new features!

Like all of our products and services, everything we do is made by us, even our website. Please be patient while we get this new site laid out.

Happy New Year from 1440 Creations!

This new year (approximately) marks our 1 year anniversary. I cannot thank our clients, friends, and family enough for their support, patience, and willingness to work with a new company to take on their projects throughout the past year.

In 2024, we hope to shift more focus to making handmade furniture, decor, and other products. We will still continue to provide the same quality home services you’ve come to expect from us.

With that said, I’d like to introduce our new laser machine. While I’m still figuring out the machine, here’s a couple products that I’ve made so far.

Check out this 8’ long mantel!

This reclaimed beam was locally sourced from Old House Salvage Company, cleaned up with a light sand courtesy of the Festool ETS EC 150/5, routed and drilled out to hang on a Sheppardbrackets floating mantel hanger, and finally finished with Rubio Monocoat USA Pure.

The mantel bracket was then secured to the brick fireplace using the Milwaukee Tool SDS-Plus hammer drill and Tapcon concrete screws, and the mantel finally slipped right on the bracket with good old fashioned elbow grease.

This project was wrapped up just in time for our client’s Christmas gatherings!

Very excited to share the completion of our first commissioned product!

This pair of walnut nightstands features waterfall grain (continuous grain pattern across the sides and top), my first finger joint drawer boxes and my first handmade wooden drawer slides. Sanded to perfection with the Festool ETS 150/5, and finished with Rubio Monocoat USA Pure, my client and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

This project was also completed just in time for my submission to the as it showcases multiple “firsts” in my woodworking career.

I hope to spend much more time in the shop this winter!

Another happy customer!

We were called on to repair some kitchen drawers. These dated European style drawer slides had broken or pulled out of the MDF cabinet backs, leaving two drawers completely unusable and the others unstable. One of the drawer boxes had deteriorated so the drawer face was only a couple pulls away from falling off.

New heavy duty, full extension slides; 3/4” plywood reinforcement with glue and quality screws; one new custom made drawer box and this kitchen is fully functional again!

This customer asked us to finish a drywall job started by another contractor over a year ago. With some elbow grease, primer and paint we got it done!

We work with more than just wood!

This customer was in need of a gate to conceal their dumpsters from public view but remain easily accessible. With the odd size of the opening and large existing gate posts, we chose to fabricate a heavy duty fence that will last for years.

These two handmade, rustic geometric pieces are now available!

Each piece is 24”x24”, and hang via French cleat (wall mounting hardware included). As they are designed in a rustic style, some of the materials have natural imperfections, nail holes, knots, etc. Both pieces are finished in a durable protective finish so they will be resistive to wear and discoloration from sunlight, but should be hung indoors.

They are available as a set for $250 or $140 each. If purchased within Walworth County I’ll deliver and hang them for $25, and if you’re outside of Walworth County we can negotiate. Send us a message here on Facebook if interested!

Here’s a sneak peak at an upcoming project!

This is a zoomed in picture of what will be a two-piece set. Each piece will be 24”x24” and hang via French cleat, so they can be spaced as far apart as you’d like.

After the glue dries I will be finishing them with a satin gloss polyurethane finish to ensure they withstand the test of time.

This piece is 24”x48” and made of 3/4” furring strips of various widths attached to 1/2” plywood. It has some weight and therefore attaches to the wall via a heavy-duty French cleat. Here are some pictures of the designing/building stages. For construction grade lumber, the wood grain shows through the stain beautifully.

As this is my first project in this style, I plan to keep it. If you are interested a piece similar to this, let’s talk, I’d be happy to make one for your home!

My name is Riley, I am a woodworking enthusiast with years of experience in many trades, and I’m stepping up my game to make products which I hope you will love to display in your home! My girlfriend, Paige, also has an artistic spirit and will be helping in the painting/staining process of our creating.

In the future, we plan to become an LLC and offer additional services.
