This Engine/Rescue will replace our current Engine 343, which is currently 17 years old. Keeping frontline trucks on a replacement rotation, helps serve the community safely and more efficient. It will be a few years until it will be delivered, due to manufacturing demands. Thanks to all that have put in the work on this project.

On this day in history, an event happened that has had an impact on training in the fire service, especially in Central Ohio. There are minor variation tactics of this drill, all with the same goal in mind.
This week, Concord Township Fire Department members are taking a PHTLS (Pre Hospital Tauma Life Support) refresher course. It covers traumas we may encounter and procedures to give patients the best outcome possible. As we say in the Fire Service, adding another tool to the tool box.

Do you know the symptoms of a heat emergency you might experience or the signs of a heat emergency of someone you are with?
Good afternoon, Delaware County! This week's heat wave poses a significant health threat, especially to our vulnerable populations. Part of preparedness is recognizing when excessive heat has taken its toll. Heat stroke occurs when the body can no longer control its temperature and sweating mechanisms fail. If left untreated, this rapid increase in body temperature can quickly lead to permanent injury or death. for symptoms and actions to take.
With the seven-day forecast calling for temps over 90 degrees every day and little to no rain, Del-Co is expecting our water demand to increase each day. By reducing the amount of water used for irrigation, you can help lower the water demand. Please consider watering every other day based on the recommended lawn-watering schedule shown below. Thank you and stay coolπ§
Happy Father's Day to all dads and those who stand in that role.Have a great day!

Today at Station 341, there was a seat at the table, reserved, to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
Today, as you are spending time with family and friends, stop for a moment and remember those who have given the sacrifice for us.
