I saw yet ANOTHER stylist dealing with cancellation issues. This poor thing lost so much that now she is requiring a deposit on chemicals & haircut appointments and I’m considering something similar too…
My question is why is it so hard to respect a hairdressers time? Most people would and couldn’t do this to their doctor,dentist,dog groomer or mechanic. Why is it ok to take from their stylist?
Yes TAKE. Most beauty pros can’t simply fill the time with another person. We not only loose the income from your missed appointment, we also loose $$ from clients who had to go elsewhere and those we could all w to walk in but don’t because we’ll, you had an appointment. Those who WILL SHOW UP or atleast call us in time for us to fill the appointment go elsewhere. It is just flat out juvenile behavior.
It resonates like this… We as stylist feel our guests think so little of us and our time that it’s ok to take (or in some cases) keep taking money out of our pockets. A phone call within a reasonable amount of time is not to hard.
We understand things happen but in many cases it is a lack of accountability,communication and respect and all we feel personally we are being given the middle finger 🖕.
So when your stylist requires a deposit and charges you for your missed appointment don’t be upset
Ok rant over….
Who wears spanx pants,clothes ect.. I I’ve been waiting because the $$ but I need GOOD compression pants…
