These are the knives those sweet boys received and the beautiful jewelry their grandmother received in mail this morning right before sending me these heart warming messages. I will forever remember this amazing family and the tears that rolled down my face when receiving these messages and this video 💜

*Just to clarify*
A Sister's Blessing made the knife handles and the jewelry. I did NOT etch the names onto the blade of the knives. However, I wish I did because I ADORE that extra special touch and how personal it made each knife!!!

Happy August 1st everyone!

After 3 long days and 2 even longer nights I'm finally out of the hospital and back home! If you tried reaching out to me and got silence in return, I first want to apologize for not being able to respond to you and ask you to please reach out again. I will be able to respond now. If you were scheduled for a drop off or pick up, again, please reach out to reschedule. I am not having any drop offs/Pick ups until after the weekend so anytime after Sunday is open. Obviously I have been unable to work while in the hospital so orders are a bit behind schedule, but I am working on things as much as possible now that I'm back home. If you were supposed to be receiving progress pictures this week I apologize you will not be receiving photos until sometime next week. I am out of the hospital, but most definitely not back to normal routine just yet.
I want to sincerely apologize to all of you who were expecting to receive any information or photos from me this week. I will be taking these last 2 days of the week as well as the weekend completely off in order to recoup as quickly as possible so that when Monday rolls around I'll be able to hit the ground running.
Thank you all for your continued support, but mostly thank you for your understanding. This crazy thing called life is absolutely living up to the 'crazy' part and I appreciate all of yall taking this crazy ride with me!

If something in your body does not feel right, go get it checked. You could very well be just like me and go to the dr thinking it's one thing and end up getting rushed by ambulance to a different hospital for something completely different! Only you know your body inside and out...so listen to what it's telling you!

I haven't posted my work in a little minute, and I thought I would break the silence with a very special piece.

This pocket knife holds so much of my heart in it. As many of you know, my sister Ashli passed away in May of 2021, leaving behind her husband Mike, daughter Paige, and her son Michael. When I began making knives I made my Michael a pocket knife incorporating Ashli's funeral flowers and picked it up to give to him on his 18th birthday...so this knife had been sitting in my jewelry box until Michael's big birthday came. Little did I know when making the knife that my handsome nephew would never celebrate his 18th birthday. Michael passed away January 12, 2024 at the age of 17. I thought (and hoped) I'd never experience pain like I experienced when I lost my sister, and I was somewhat right. The pain I experienced when losing my nephew is a pain like no other. He was like my 4th son, and he was not only my boys cousin but their absolute best friend. So this knife never even crossed my mind after he died until June 16, 2024 when he would have turned 18 years old.
I decided to get the knife out and gift it to my brother in law. Now, the original knife I made was just with Ashli's flowers because, well, Michael was still with us when I made it, but now that he's joined his momma in heaven I did alittle extra work to the knife. I broke the knife down and carefully pulled the resin with the flower petals off of the knife because I wanted to obviously keep my sisters flower petals, and I added a sterling silver cross on each side of the handle and each cross holds Michael's ashes. This way Mike, the husband of Ashli and father of Michael and my brother in law, will have a beautiful knife honoring the memory of both Ashli and Michael.
I think it turned out perfect.
..who would have thought something so small could hold such a huge piece of my heart 💜

Hey hey hey everyone! I hope everyone had a fabulous and safe 4th of July 🥰 If you messaged me anytime between July 3rd and today without any response from me it's because I was in the mountains with zero cell service. I attempted to respond to messages as I got them, but I'm not too confident that service was strong enough to send the replies when I tried. I have an unwanted house guest that most likely came from my house (no order flowers) and the son that was home at the time would have rathered that dinosaur get me than to actually try and catch it 😫 needless to say its still in my house and I would like to not add anymore if possible!!!

This bridal bouquet preservation piece is jaw dropping, show stopping, breath takingly GORGEOUSSSSS!!!!! I can NOT stop looking at it...and I keep putting off letting the new bride know it's finished and ready for pick up because I JUST DONT WANT TO GET RID OF IT!!!!

Hey everyone! I am just getting back from an AMAZING and beautiful trip to visit my husband in Utah. I have several messages that I may or may not have responded to while I was out of town, but just to be safe I'm making a post for everyone to see.

I am going to take the rest of the week and weekend to get back into the swing of things and Monday I will be back to business and available for pick ups. As you can see this ring contains more than just the ashes...as I'm sure you figured it had ashes.
This is a breastmilk and ash DNA ring.
A wonderful husband and first time dad ordered this ring for his amazing wife and first time mom.
It was a difficult order to take because of course I engage with my customers when they place orders. We converse about the life events that bring them to ASB, and sometimes talking about certain events with a person that is not connected to that event AT ALL is therapeutic in its own way; so I always listen and let them speak for as short or as long as they feel they need to.
This wonderful husband and new father let me know this ring would be holding the most precious angel God had let he and his wife borrow for a brief time. 47 minutes God allowed their precious son to be with them here on earth before calling that sweet angel back home to heaven.
Then he proceeded to ask if he could include breastmilk that his amazing wife and brand new mommy would be feeding his baby girl, the twin sister to their now precious angel.
After I wiped the river of tears flowing down my face and collected myself of course I let him know how special it would be to create the perfect piece to honor the memory of their son and honor the life of their daughter 💜 and I would be more than happy to do that for him.

This is his wife's most valuable piece of jewelry that she never takes off. She shares it with any and everyone who even looks like they glanced at it, he said. This ring has also helped both of them begin to accept what God had in store for their beautiful twin babies by knowing their son is back with God in heaven waiting for them to arrive when it's their time, and until then she carries a little piece of him with her always. A little piece of their twin babies will always remain together, beautifully, in this gorgeous tear inducing ring 💜👼🙏

I was contacted this morning by a customer who was less than satisfied with the pieces they picked up yesterday.
First and foremost- THANK YOU to the one who reached out to me expressing how they felt once getting home and unboxing everything! I put all of my love and time into the orders I make, but things do happen and if things like this are not brought to my attention I'm unable to correct the issue. So I appreciate the honest feed back and thankful it was addressed in a respectful way. So many times small business owners get bad mouthed and a negative reputation for mistakes that were never given an opportunity to be corrected.
I do not have a website. I do not have a store front. I do not have advertisement spreading my name around town. What I do have is previous customers with pieces that speak for themselves. I get most of my orders through word of mouth, and the ones that don't come from word of mouth just so happened to stumble across my page. I strive to make each and every single item as though it were my own; fixing imperfections throughout the entire process, making sure everything is the best I can do, and when the pieces are finished I take pictures for the customers to give their honest feed back before picking up. Things can happen..and things DO happen...from the time the approval pictures are sent to the time the order is picked up and looked over by the customer. Some things that happen are completely out of my control and then it's simply an overlook on my part that I will never make an excuse for. Bringing these issues to my attention not only allows me the chance to remake the piece, but it also makes me aware of situations that can occur and to avoid making those errors in the future.
I take pride in my work, but ultimately these items are for you to cherish. If you receive something from me that the approval pictures didn't show the flaws and it wasn't noticed until after you examined them at home, Please do what this customer did. PLEASE reach out to me. PLEASE bring it to my attention. PLEASE allow me the opportunity to correct and fix the flaws you found. After all you are paying money for an item with a certain level of expectations set when handing over payment, and you deserve to receive what you paid for!

Traditions seem so silly and just something your parents or grandparents do to annoy you when you're a child..before you have learned first hand how short and precious life is. It isn't until the ones who started the tradition pass away and you are left to carry it on that you begin to cherish those silly things, and you begin to look forward to those 'annoyances'.
This GORGEOUS 12in dome is displaying a tradition started many moons ago when a sweet baby girl was welcomed into this world, and that proud Poppa gave a pink rose to his one and only baby girl. Each year after that she received a pink rose on her birthday until her father passed away.
Now that sweet baby girl has grown up, married, and has welcomed HER first baby girl; who was given this absolutely beautiful pink rose on the day she was welcomed to this world 💞
The story of this tradition brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my heart and I hope it does the same for the new momma and grandmother 💜

When I was contacted by a sweet soul wanting to order several rosaries for a co worker that had just lost her granddaughter I instantly knew I would be making rosaries for my husband's family (unbeknownst to the sweet soul who contacted me).
I chose to make the centerpiece of each rosary a beautiful picture of the angel the rosaries are honoring, Blakeleigh.
I've made many rosaries since A Sister's Blessing got started...after all ASB began with a rosary made with my Sister's funeral flowers. Countless rosaries I've made for my family and I was even asked to make a rosary for my grandfather to hold after he passed. These rosaries honoring Blakeleigh are the most beautiful rosaries I've ever seen.
