The making of a MEGA LAZY SUSAN.
Folks been a while! This wood is rare red sinker cypress from the manchac swamp. Since I sold the green one I decided to make another one slightly bigger than the green one that some of you have seen if not it is on fb previously posted.
I will take you all on the journey.these are the first few steps completed so far. Please stay tuned for the following steps to come.

I know a lot of y’all have seen me working on pieces outside the shop but now… THE TIME IS HERE!! I’ll be doing my first live carving event at The Foyer located in Baton Rouge. (Perkins Rd. next to The Purple Cow.)

Come check me out this Saturday. June, 15th from 10 am to 4 pm! I’ll be showing you how I create the pieces at Bayou’s Best. There’s 4 various center pieces that will be used for this live demonstration! Not only will y’all see me carve, you will also be able to purchase any of the pieces displayed that you’re interested in. (There will be some along the sidewalk and inside.) The demonstration pieces will also be available to put a down payment for purchase upon completion!

This will be a fun event! I can’t wait for y’all to experience this. I look forward seeing everyone!

Good day every one. I would love for you all if possible to come check me out. I will be carving out centerpiece bowls that you see in my shop. I also have unique pieces at the foyer aswell. I want to first give the Ott family my deepest sympathy 🙏. Mr. Ott would often stop by my shop and talk with me while i worked on pieces out front as i often do. We would talk about the sinker we pull up and how i work with them. MR. Ott really loved sinker cypress. I really used to love seeing him pop up. He will be missed!
I am so honored to have had to opportunity to create and have a piece of sinker cypress with his floral arrangement. I know in my heart mr. Ott is all smiles about that. He so loved that wood. My prayers are with the ott family. Thank you all for allowing me to do this honorable thing for my pal. Mr. Ott. 🙏🙏

Good day every one... i would like to invite you all to a garden art show and sale at the fairwood estates off millerville. See info on the brochure pics. I will have very unique pieces shown.. mrs. Ruth stuart will have original oil paintings shown. Ms. Debra miley will be showing her various glass pieces. Mr. Bill crummett accomplished stained glass artist. Highly sought after. Got to see folks! Will be displaying colorful stain glass pieces.
I hope you all can come and experience our garden show.

The following weekend 15th. I will be carving live in the parking lot at the foyer next door to the purple cow. I will be discussing the process and tools. I will bring three pieces (center pieces)

Good morning every one. I was asked by many people to post them a reminder of the fundraiser event. Sat. March 9th 12-5 pm. Actually you may start picking up ticketed plates at 11 am. Rib plates 12 dollars and 10 dollars for the chicken plates. Dirty rice and loaded green beans see previously post info.

Hello every one. I want to ask for your support for a fund raising event held in the antique district on mattie st. March 9th from 12pm- 5pm or when the food is gone. We will be selling smoked/ barbecue chicken and smoked / barbecue pork ribs. The sides are dirty rice and green beans bread and ol fashioned tea cakes. The Marshall's office joe mac will be cooking jambalaya. 5.00 bowls.
All cooked on mattie street. Rib plates 12.00 chicken plates 10.00 Drinks coke ,diet coke, sprite and water 1.00
The event is for my son. Emmanuel Ennis he had to have both of his legs amputated due to a complicated diabetic situation. Below the knees. Emmanuel is 41 years old my youngest son. All monies and donations will be used to help him adjust and get back walking and to return to work at the oak point cheif dept. In central. I wanna thank Johnathan for his support and constant contact with Emmanuel.
The support from Marshall's office, antique district personnel, mayor's office, power motor sports ,lechein brewery and a host of many many more has been overwhelming thank you all very much. Come out and get you some good fixing. Our goal is to serve 7-800 people 🙏 BBRA......

I want to let you all know that i will be at the market at the mill in new roads november 17th and 18th. Friday and sat. On friday the show starts at 10am and ends at 7 pm. Night shopping folks. Clear your calenders. I will be having some special pieces i created for the show. I will give you all a sneak peek at one next week.
Folks times are hard on small businesses. Shop small and local.
As you all know i do custom boards at my shop and have been for over 3 years. We use only sinker cypress live edge (unless customer wants them straight edged) we customize lazy susans as well. I decided to give you all a peek of a few i have done and the tip of the scale of what we do at bayous best.
Now is the time to come pick out your wood desired and have it customized the way you want it rather than a premade or manufactured one.

I wanna let everyone know i had a back procedure monday. The Dr. Got me 🔒🔬. Strict instructions to sit down!!! No shop!! My daughter will be there. You are welcomed to call me with any questions or so on.i have to go back on the 16th next month. I most prob will come just to sit in the shop only, next week.thank you all for your prayers and support. 100% better🙂
