We’ve been busy bees and have a large variety of new specimen to show you, including customs lamps, glass cloches, and mini frames to take home! We’ve done our best to spread ourselves across DFW, let us know if you’re traveling or want to see us in a city near you. 🕸️You’re cordially invited to our second annual Halloween insect taxidermy workshop! This year is going to be really fun, there will be give aways & VIP discounts for our clientele at a private pop-up as well. It might be hard choosing our regular workshop, or the BUGBITES event, but we’ve got you covered either way whether you want to touch, smell, or even eat bugs baby. 💋 Read below for more detailed information or check out the website! Join us for an hour long course at The Bearded Monk! We’ll be hand’s on, teaching you how to pin and preserve your very own specimen. We will provide all tools, a pin kit, and your specimen. They will be hydrated, and ready for you to start pinning! We’re going to cultivate a fun, warm atmosphere. This is safe, inclusive space, and we welcome all people. You will be seated at a table with additional guests, and encouraged to build community with new friends! You can purchase framing services from Pinned Ptera for an additional fee, where we will take your specimen home, mount & frame it on your behalf. This is for our standard 10x10 black or white frames, ghost mounted style. Children are also welcome to attend, if 5+ with parent or guardian. Pinned Ptera will teach you this art, but we cannot guarantee perfection and encourage you to embrace a new skill as you learn. Specimens are ethically sourced and occasionally have micro tears or missing parts as part of their lifespan. Any major breaks or concerns will be addressed & replaced before class begins. Please note that specimens are required to be picked-up in Denton. If you are commuting and would like framing services, you can purchase shipping for $10.00 at check-out in advance. Hey folks! Arts & Autos 2024 will be at the Denton Civic Center this year due to ongoing Texas Department of Transportation construction.

will now be held at the on Saturday, September 14th due to the TxDot construction this month around the .

We are super excited to host this annual event at the Civic Center and know it will be a great alternative location for a day full of fun, art, live music, vendors, silent auction and of course...all the great autos!

This event is free to the public to attend.

Hey Folks, We're back for our third year at Denton Main Street Association's Annual Arts &Autos event! There is some active construction on the square this year, so keep connected for any updates. Did you know you can provide us a specimen of your own to pin? Skelton Key Crafts found this beautiful male Polyphemus moth perfectly intact and asked us to pin and frame it. Go on hikes, camp, you never know what you might forage on fun nature walks! Polyphemus are the most common moth in North America. You’ll know they’re male when you spot those incredibly large, feathery antennae. 🪶

Wooo plant folks! Guess what? We get to guest spot at PlantCon International 🌱 this year! Don’t miss the convention where you can find every plant imaginable, learn new care strategyand even take a workshop! We’ll be around with your pollinator guides!

Arts & Autos is back, and for the first time ever, we're making it a two-day event! 🛞 Join us on Friday, September 13th, from 6-9 pm at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center for a kickoff reception and expert panel discussion on hot rods, rat rods, and all things automotive. Then, on Saturday, September 14th, from 9 am to 3 pm, head to the Courthouse on the Square for a fun-filled day featuring arts, autos, music, food, Chalk Fest, and more!
