😳 Have you ever had a moment in your life that was so pivitol that you say to yourself, “This changes everything”?
🎭That is what happened on this day in 2018. At the time, I was teaching Musical Theatre in Lillooet, BC once a week.
🫨 That meant I made an hour and a half drive each way that was treacherous, full of switchbacks and riveting surprises.
☀️It was a beautiful day. The road was clear, the ride went smoothly and class was a blast as usual.
🚙So after 2 hours I set out to return to Pemberton, BC.
⚠️Truthfully many people thought I was crazy for making this trip every week. The rode was famous for accidents, but I believed in what I was doing
🤯About 20 minutes into my return this boulder appeared on the rode. It was’nt there 2 hours prior. It wasn’t a rock slide, as there were no other rocks on the rode. It was catapulted into my lane, almost as if God placed it there Himself!
😱I stopped and sat in my car in shock. What kept that boulder from landing at the exact time I passed through either way? Was another one about to come down? Should I drive around it or go back.
📓As I mustered up the courage to drive around it I vowed I was going to write a book about this moment. A book about overcoming obstacles!
Well after 6 years I had only written a few pages. What do I know about writing books? I write children’s musicals; silly ones at that.
🤔Then I got some wonderful advice from an author/mentor, “Just write a little bit each day and don’t worry about what order the pages will go in”
⛓️‍💥That was so liberating. Trust me when I tell you, I have plenty of material each day about overcoming obstacles!
❤️Actually, I bet many of you do, too. So start today! Write the book, run the race, slay the giant! It will be life changing, I promise💃🏻
