Are you willing to blossom into multiple dimensions — knowing it makes you even more beautiful?
Audrey Hepburn writes:
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
Last chance to register; only a few spaces remain! New time meeting on the quarter hour from 1:15 - 4:15 p.m.
Getting older can be a sticky wicket! Ouch. Keep your vitality! Easy to say and another thing to do when you are aging. How do we live our life with grace, and maybe a few screams as we navigate senioring?!
During this workshop on Senior Yoga, we will talk about the transitions that occur during the aging process and the ways that yoga supports this time of life.
Hansa shares, “With reverence and love, I offer my teachings to those that will listen.”
If you missed it, check out Hansa's recent letter and beginning updates of our continued offerings: https://conta.cc/3AErzK7
In the stillness, the next movement is guided by responding to the moment rather than fulfilling an anticipated expectation. How do you allow your light to shine? What energy force is inspiring action for yourself or when you offer to others?
Live into the answer.
Save the DATE! Weekly course with Hansa Knox Johnson begins in October and runs through November.

Props are an incredible yoga tool. We can use them to fill in the gap between an appendage and the ground or to support an injury. They are useful to most anyone at any age. They can be used to help isolate a muscle and strengthen the muscle. Props can support someone during rehabilitation. Props can also become a crutch.
In our Senior Yoga workshop, not only will we review specific details for our elder population but we’ll include the use of props in various āsana too. Register by 8/15 and save: https://www.facebook.com/events/1684095025753015

Oh my aching back. "Well, you are the one who got pregnant. What did you expect?"
These may be the words of a doctor, or a friend who has children. It is NOT the language of a yoga therapist.
How do we address pregnancy? What is normal? When do we send them to a doctor? Stay tuned for more information on joining us for this exploration in May 2025.
The skeleton is our structure. Muscles help it move around. The organs carry on moment to moment life functions. Our mind interprets the world around us. The Spirit holds our Truth.
And, they can all get out of whack or ignored.
Bridging them together takes a special knowledge base. In our 6-month, 200-hour Pathology course beginning in September, we will weave the Western, Yoga and Ayurveda concepts and the use of yoga tools to move a client towards wholeness in the body, mind and most of all the Spirit. Registration info forthcoming - reach out if you're interested!
Herbs wrapped into a ball and tied up. Add water, and they expand into their unique beauty. In a way, that’s just like life. We come in, a ball of Spirit, bound into a human form. Then, we spend our life unfolding, into our unique, Divine beauty. In our Cakra: The Inside Story course meeting November 2-3 & 16-17, we will discuss the components of Spirit and how we can begin to tap into the fullest revealing of our unique Self.
If you are a yoga teacher looking to expand your knowledge or a yoga therapist growing your toolbox of concepts and wanting APD credits, check it out: https://www.facebook.com/events/770434828594669
Put your left foot forward . . . and . . . . next cue . . . what are you stepping into?
The art of teaching is guiding a class, and in my teaching style, from the psychospiritual, not just the anatomy. Yoga is not physical. Rather the body is the silent communicator of the Spirit and our goal is to learn to listen.
Yoga serves each person individually. Beginning this August, we have a 15-hour training specific to teaching Senior yoga classes. Seniors have the possibility of being as diverse as any other population. There are some considerations though. The course will review the physiological, psychological, and social changes inherent in aging. You will learn how to adapt classes for whoever attends — we will explore yoga standing, against a wall, in chairs, on the floor... Gain more yoga tools for your teaching toolbox! Senior Yoga - PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala - Yoga and Vedic Studies This course on Senior Yoga provides yoga teachers with specific knowledge and tools to meet our Elder community's yoga needs.
Scrap branches. We think they are dead and gone. Yet, they have made a place for new homes. Never belittle a creative mind! Make life beautiful with the belongings you have.
Are you wanting to gain more skills and knowledge to bring to your students? Our Deepening Practices course can help you decide your next topic of focus, including our 1380-hour Yoga Therapy training, as this is the prequisite course in addition to 500 hours training.
Often, yoga teachers are taught about anatomical alignment. And, if the body is the silent communicator of the Spirit, it is important to read it too. Within this 45-hour session, we will work at honing our vision of the body, beyond the anatomy. Also, enjoy a review of classical texts, Prānāyāma, Āyurveda, and more.
Course begins in November, see more here: https://www.facebook.com/events/255649014293612
Kṛṣṇa was so mischievous. Here he is eating ghee out of a pot. When his mother tried to stop him, he opened his mouth and she saw the whole world! If I opened my mouth, you would only see my tongue and uvula! And, out of my mouth comes a whole lot of words!
My goal though is, when I speak, I speak words that are better than silence. The silence is a welcoming to the whole world!
Yoga -- Such a Vast Life-Long Exploration
