One of our favorite memories of the 47th Annual Colorado Classic Horse Show. Thank you to Scott Matton, Brendan Heintz, Jim West, Shari Ashley, Mistica Salcido, Vince LeMaster, Jacki Rosellen and all of our volunteers that make this show a success!

Please plan to attend! Class 119 Open English Pleasure Hunter Seat Open Championship on Saturday Night was chosen for the presentation of the new Del Slaugh Memorial Perpetual Trophy. The Slaugh family and friends wil be in attendance. Special thanks to Bob Kellert, Mary Cockriel and Jon Stroh for the design and creation of this beautiful trophy.

******IMPORTANT NOTICE******
Due to cases of EHV in the state of Colorado.
The National Western and the Colorado State Veterinarians office is mandating Temperature Logs (for 3 days before arrival) AND a Health Certificate (within 30 days of arrival) on all horses entering the grounds. Please bring this paperwork to the show office at the time of check-in. Accurate paperwork for all the horses on the grounds is required and will then be submitted to the state veterinarian. Additionally, all horses are to have temperatures taken daily while at the show and logged. We appreciate your understanding and assistance in keeping our horses safety and health at the forefront. Please contact me with any questions!

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck " Browning. Chuck had a deep love for the American Saddlebred horse and Hackney Pony. He began his horse journey with his wife Jackie in 1978, with the purchase of 2 horses. They moved to Parker, Colorado and began Timbermist Farm. In the late 1990s, they brought Timbermist to Missouri and created the ultimate equestrian facility, which was his dream. Chuck loved bringing juveniles and amateurs up through the ranks. Many reached the national level at such shows as Louisville, Lexington, and the American Royal. He was also able to maintain the farm and could fix almost everything. His love of animals extended to dogs, and he had great admiration for their Dobermans. He was very proud of their dogs, Cruiser and Tryst, and supportive of their show careers. Timbermist Farm shall carry on with the support of many who became great friends. Special thanks to Micheal Graham, Gregory Haston, Libby Lunn, and Jesus Zavala. Without them, Timbermist Farm would not be able to move on.

The world lost a good man today. Many of us know him as an outstanding farrier. He was also brilliant, a veteran, the best storyteller, a good friend and a loving family man. He will be missed by all. His family is in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Del Slaugh.

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Del Slaugh. The world has lost a wonderful man, but Heaven has gained him!

The 53rd Denver Queen City Horse Show starts tomorrow 10am at the National Western Events Center! Come join us! Classes for Arabian, Morgan and American Saddlebred horses daily. And don’t forget to check out the silent auction!
