Busy week for us before vacation!

Full house of SAABs today! With that being said there’s some news to break.

As some know, I am a full time career EMT. I work 48+ hours per week serving my community and also volunteering on my hometown ambulance. Starting in August I am going back to school to carry out one of my career goals of obtaining my paramedic certification. This will leave little time to do the majority of the bigger things I’ve been doing so this is what’s going down.

Effective today I will no longer have ”business hours”. I will answer messages during the daytime as I am available as quickly and efficiently as I can. I will not answer messages on nights and weekends unless it’s an emergency like lost keys.

Starting as of a few months ago I am no longer accepting any mechanical repairs. I just do not have the time to quickly and efficiently turn around some of these jobs. I will refer all mechanical work to my friends locally at K&D Auto Service. If it’s something quick like plugs and coils or swapping an ECU or performance part I will consider it on a case by base basis.

From here on out my focus will be smaller audio installs, Remote Starts (not for SAABs, sorry guys), ECU cloning, lost keys on NG9-3s, and tuning of all SAAB models. We also have the capability of tuning other vehicles outside of the SAAB community.

I have been very grateful for all of the opportunities this community has provided me and want to continue to help however I can but my full time job is what pays the bills and I have to focus on that right now. I appreciate the love and look forward to seeing what the future holds.

I’m excited to announce that we will be taking a road trip. We will be coming down the I81 corridor and ending in Woodlawn VA on 2/23. We will be traveling back on 2/25. I will take appointments in between if you are local to Woodlawn or even Mt Airy NC. I will have with me the following:

If there is enough interest I will even do some discounts on the above work. PM with any questions and we’ll be happy to assist. We are one of the very few places in the US that can marry keys without replacing your original CIM!

One of our repeat customers wanted two sets of speakers installed. Upon installation we realized the EHU was refusing to power them for unknown reasons. After speaking with the customer we decided to rid the car of the antiquated fiber optic system and direct wire the speakers to a new head unit. After a few hours of work and some materials, all four speakers are working and sound great. No, it’s not the best looking solution but the customer was ok with this as he’s happy to have better sounding music in his car!

Quick little remote start job in this Volvo XC90 for a local shop owner. I love the opportunity to work with other local businesses!

Don’t get me wrong. I love when I get to meet new customers, but I’m also so thankful for friends, family, and co workers alike who support my venture. One of our awesome PHRN’s from my full time job asked me to take on adding LED headlights to his 2018 F-150 for better night visibility. We sourced a beautiful set of LED headlamp housings and installed them. Definitely gives this truck a more aggressive look. Thanks Mike for the opportunity to put this together for you!

Some fun parts came today from our friends at Krona Performance and do88 AB! Also our powder coating from Martin’s Powder Coating is back!

Mackan is doing big things yet again!

Saab/Opel/GM AF40-6 Gearbox tuning - Mackanized For a long time, the customization of our automatic transmissions has been subject to limitations. Access to data retrieval has been constrained, and the capability for modification has been exclusively tethered to the proprietary tools provided by manufacturers. Even calibration experts have found....

One last walkthrough at the old Sports Car Service building. Grabbed myself a few parts including a 2006 steering wheel with sentronic which will be up for grabs soon!

This one was a HUGE undertaking but I do love these “restoration and upgrade” projects.

Krista brought us her 2003 9-3 SE with a laundry list of concerns. So here it is!

•Install Android Auto double DIN and 4 speakers
•Diagnose no front speakers issue
•Replace fabric on tonneau cover and figure out why it ripped (support rod broke. Replaced this)
•Replace power antenna unit
•Overhaul front suspension
•Replace siren module
•Install Mackanized Stage 1 Tune

Overall this was a huge undertaking but with the help of some local businesses and friends we got her all fixed up and rolling with some good tunes!
