Gabby Giles is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began her training with Philadelphia Dance Theater under the direction of Joy Delaney Capponi. Gabby continued her dance training at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where she received a BFA in ballet and an English minor. While in college, she danced with the Richmond Ballet for two years as a trainee and performed classics such as Serenade, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. She was also a company member of Kim Robards Dance. Gabby has worked with artists such as Pablo Francisco Ruvalcaba, Colin Connor, Malcolm Burn, Jerri Kumery, Jasmine Grace and Deirdre Carberry during her professional career. Gabby currently teaches ballet and contemporary at Evergreen School of Ballet and is a dancer with 3rd Law Dance/Theater.

“Please, if you have the chance please come and enjoy the show I’ve been wanting to put together for a while; a combination of fellow denver artists, and dancers. This show of mine has been a dream for a long time coming, and while I’m so excited to be performing again, I am more excited to be dancing with the people I know and love. Going through these pictures I couldn’t help but post these as going through the numerous photos Nick sent me, these meant the most to me, as from another state away I reminisced with the family that I became so close with before moving away. This show means a lot to me as I’ve really developed into my spiritual side of myself this year, and out of it came our production of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴. Come not only share, but be apart of our magical space today and enjoy the art, the dance, and the time. Thank you.”

She believes in artists and that everyone can dance, and helped immediately to help provide a space for our art to take place when our other plans fell through. Bl!nk Modern Dance Company present our newest work “The Pleiades”. Combining both our Colorado dancers and our Florida dancers in a fundraising show where we hope to keep growing. Enjoy our tales of the different stars we are and our relationships to one another. Let us take you into our worlds and maybe yours too as we decipher the constellations we are in this universe. We really played as a company this production with the ideas of relation, correlations and constellations.
This will be an arts community driven show where we will not only be presenting dance, but other artists of various nature including artists, live musicians, and a fun donation exchange at the end of the show!

Kathryn (director): “This show and it’s entirety has been my life for the past six months. At first, I had no idea how this was all going to come together, as every director/ artist fears, but then last weekend it magically did. And it was really special. It’s a great show because of all the incredible dancers I have in my cast. They each have brought something to the table I could never imagine. It has been a pleasure working with each and everyone of you. The bond you create with other artists when making a show such as The Wall, you really become a family. The way my cast has trusted me and put forth all there effort is just indescribable. There’s just so much love. And I can’t thank you all enough. This will be our/ my last show here in Denver. Please consider purchasing a ticket and supporting me one last time. Tonight’s the night we all just get to enjoy doing our craft; dancing. Come see a great show.”

Tonight’s last show will have a talk back after where the audience can ask questions/ comment. Alcoholic beverages will be served upstairs so feel free to come early or hang out after. Most of the cast will be grabbing drinks after so feel free to join us as we’d love to share more about our art form with you.

Natalie: “I really love the recovery piece I enjoyed choreographing my part and I think the whole dance is so beautiful and really emotional. I got emotional giving Harley a gig at the end because it was like giving a hug to myself as a child and kind of healing that part of me. Something I've been working on in therapy .”
