Hello=

As of December 1, 2023, I will be providing Unbundled Legal Services a/k/a “customized client services” or “limited scope representation , in addition to traditional legal services as I have in the past.

“Unbundled Legal Services” a/k/a “customized client services” or “limited scope representation” are when an attorney and a client agree that the attorney will perform some, but not all, aspects of the client’s legal matter. The client is responsible for handling any and all aspects of his or her own case for which the attorney has not been retained. This allows the client to choose the level and scope of representation he or she desires and provides predictable control over the cost of various legal services.

My areas of practice continue to be :

I have extensive experience in dealing with cases involving parties who have Narcissistic Personality Disorder as well as other mental and addiction issues.

This is a continuing theme in so many of my cases. When will these parents realize that the revenge they think they are inflicting on the other parent, is actually resulting in irreparable damage to their children.

Counter-Parenting: When the unhealthy parent has so much hatred for the other parent that their judgement center is compromised, and their actions are driven by revenge and anger.

This person is unable to act in the best interest of their child and is unable to move forward in a healthy direction.

They use every opportunity to berate, chastise or make digs at the healthy parent.

They undermine the healthy parent by disrupting the child's sleep schedule, diet and routines.

They contradict established rules and withhold information.

Ignoring school responsibilities, projects and homework to create chaos for the healthy parent.

It's also using the parenting time schedule as a weapon and forcing custody schedules that are not in the best interest of the child.

The abuser is so focused on hurting and controlling the other parent that their actions directly affect the children.

Your First Thanksgiving After Divorce: 6 Things to Do to Get Through 11/11/2020

As we approach Thanksgiving, I wanted to repost this . Hopefully, it helps you to get through the upcoming Thanksgiving season. Unfortunately, this year will be even harder for all of us since we aren't able to share big gatherings with those who support us.

Your First Thanksgiving After Divorce: 6 Things to Do to Get Through Navigating your first Thanksgiving after divorce will require some extra effort, but that extra effort will be worth your time and energy.

Good Morning-

I hope that you are all able to deal with this very surreal situation . I know how hard this is for all of us.

My office will remain open if you need my services in the next several weeks. We , including the courts, are trying to do as much work as possible remotely to reduce the risk to everyone. I am happy to conduct phone consultations, skype or Facetime meetings . All of our filings are already done via efile, so there will be no interruption in that process.

The courts have made it clear that if there is an emergency situation-- the need for a temporary protection order or motion to restrict parenting time as an example, that they will remain open to address those issues in person.

For now, I am trying to maintain business as usual as much as possible . Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hang in there everyone- this too shall pass.

Unfortunately, this is way too prevalent in so many of the matters I deal with. I always try to get my clients to focus on “ THE BEST INTERESTS OF THEIR KIDS”, not their disdain for the other parent. So very important for the children that did not choose for their parents to split up.
