Platinum anniversaries don’t occur very often, but today marks the 70th year since the official dedication of the Denver Coliseum at the 1952 National Western Stock Show!

In the years since, the Coliseum has hosted sporting events of all kind, including the crowning of top state high school athletes and teams.

In the music world, any artist of consequence has played this venue: Sinatra, the Jackson 5, Elvis, the Stones, the Dead (when they were Grateful, not just & Company), the Who, Zeppelin - the list is long.

The Coliseum has been the cornerstone of memories in Colorado and has greeted guests traveling west on I-70 from our international airports since the time commercial air travel became an industry - the Beatles drove by on their way to Red Rocks in 1964. Cheers to 70 years!
