We lost a dear member of our Chef community and this Wednesday we will be donating all profits from our Japanese A5 Striploin to Chef Amos Watt’s wife and children.
From Chef Max MacKissock: "Amos was a great chef and an even better person. We were always acquaintances, but became much closer when he moved in across the street at the Fifth String. I could hear his infamous laugh when I walked outside. His passing was a terrible tragedy, and we are honored to dedicate the night to raising some money to help his family."
We feel so lucky to join our community in taking care of the family of one of our own. We hope you can join us this Wednesday.

Crispy gem lettuce holds onto the tangy, umami-packed dressing with the perfect amount of heat. The shaved yolk, in addition to the torn croutons, gives a rustic feel allowing the poached egg to delicately run over the salad for a luscious and creamy component.

When Chef Max named us A5, it was to convey to our guests that we strive for the highest quality in everything—from our food and cocktail programs to our hospitality. To that end, we proudly partner with local Colorado farms for as many ingredients as possible, and our lamb dish is no exception.
Chef Anthony's lamb dish features lamb sourced from Buckner Family Farms, accompanied by Saag Curry, Tamarind, Chutney Glaze, and Pickled Fresnos.

"Since opening in 2021, chef Max MacKissock’s LoDo steakhouse has wowed with excellent service, on point dishes, and perfectly cooked steaks. After all, the name is a nod to the highest grade of beef, A5 wagyu. The restaurant specializes in sourcing American wagyu and beef from ranches that possess a minimal carbon footprint and push for a sustainable and ethical model of farming. For example, Strube Ranch, Blackhawk Farms, and locally, Buckner Family Farms. Plus, diners can try some cuts not always seen on a menu, such as bavette and Denver.
